Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

TBL round 14 caused change at the leadership position. Fourth defeat of league's leader PGE Turow (10-4) against seventh ranked Anwil (8-6) 67-58 was the most important game of the last round. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 29-19 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Anwil dominated on the defensive end, holding PGE Turow to just 7 points in fourth quarter. The former international point guard Krzysztof Szubarga (182-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 assists. Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (203-81, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bosnian-Croatian Ivan Opacak (201-80, agency: INVICTUS Sports Group) replied with 26 points and 6 rebounds for PGE Turow. Anwil moved-up to fifth place, which they share with AZS Koszalin and Energa Czarni. PGE Turow at the other side still keeps top position with four games lost. They were joined at the leadership position by Asseco Prok. who have the same record. PGE Turow will play next round against Siarka Jezioro trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Anwil will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Rosa Radom on the road.
The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Asseco Prok. as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (PGE Turow) loss. Asseco Prok. smashed 8th ranked Kotwica in Gdynia 85-61. Austrian-Slovenian center Rasid Mahalbasic (211-90) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Jerel Blassingame chipped in 18 points and 11 assists during the contest. Asseco Prok.'s coach Andrzej Adamek felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Grzegorz Arabas (190-78, agency: Promotex) responded with 21 points. Asseco Prok. have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with PGE Turow and Trefl Sopot. Kotwica at the other side dropped to the tenth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Start Gdynia. Kotwica will play next round against strong Trefl Sopot trying to get back on the winning streak. Asseco Prok. will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Stelmet ZG at Zielona Gora.
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Stelmet ZG (9-5) and Siarka Jezioro (5-9), which took place in Tarnobrzeg. Higher ranked Stelmet ZG lost to tenth ranked Siarka Jezioro in a road game 95-99 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. Nicchaeus Doaks notched 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) to lead the effort. Even a double-double of 24 points and 10 assists by Walter Hodge did not help to save the game for Stelmet ZG. Siarka Jezioro moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Polpharma. Loser Stelmet ZG keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Siarka Jezioro will meet higher ranked PGE Turow (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stelmet ZG will play against the league's leader Asseco Prok. and will have a slim chance for a victory.

In the last two games of round 14 Start Gdynia was beaten by Polpharma on the road 80-73. Trefl Sopot destroyed AZS Koszalin on its own court 80-57.
The most impressive performance of 14th round was 24 points and 10 rebounds by Dejan Borovnjak of Stelmet ZG.

Siarka Jezioro - Stelmet ZG 99-95

Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Stelmet ZG (9-5) and Siarka Jezioro (5-9), which took place in Tarnobrzeg. Higher ranked Stelmet ZG lost to tenth ranked Siarka Jezioro in a road game 95-99 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stelmet ZG. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 49-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game.
