The most interesting game of round 17 was a home defeat of 7th ranked BI SSA Gdynia (6-7) by sixth ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (7-6) who outscored them by 24 points 88-64 in the game for the sixth place. It ended the four-game winning streak of BI SSA Gdynia. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. International forward Agnieszka Skobel (179-89) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and Nigerian-American guard Chineze Nwagbo (183-82, college: Syracuse) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. American swingman Antonia Bennett (185-90, college: Florida A&M) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds. BI SSA Gdynia's coach Wadim Czeczuro gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski maintains sixth place with 7-6 record. BI SSA Gdynia at the other side keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski are looking forward to face higher ranked Energa Torun (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BI SSA Gdynia will play against Wisla Can-Pak in Krakow and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and Valeriya Musina accounted for 23 points. Forward Magdalena Bibrzycka (183-88, agency: Data Plus Group) came up with 8 points for AZS Rzeszow in the defeat. AZS Rzeszow's coach already knew that her team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. CCC Polkowice have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-1 record. AZS Rzeszow lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. CCC Polkowice will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. AZS Rzeszow will play at home against Lider Pruszkow (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Lider Pruszkow maintains fifth place with 8-6 record. Newly promoted PTK Pabianice still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Lider Pruszkow will meet AZS Rzeszow (#9) on the road in the next round. PTK Pabianice will play against the league's second-placed Artego Bydg. in Bydgoszcz and hopes to get finally their first victory.

In the last game of round 17 Widzew was destroyed by Artego Bydg. on the opponent's court 105-64.

PLKK top team - CCC Polkowice (12-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked AZS Rzeszow (2-11) 93-39. The game without a history. CCC Polkowice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding AZS Rzeszow to just 7 points in first quarter. CCC Polkowice dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to AZS Rzeszow's 24 and made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. CCC Polkowice forced 19 AZS Rzeszow turnovers and outrebounded them 48-15 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-14) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their 14th consecutive match to fifth ranked Lider Pruszkow (8-6) 76-59 on Saturday evening. Very expected game in Bydgoszcz where 10th ranked Widzew (1-13) was crushed by second ranked Artego Bydg. (11-1) 105-64 on Saturday. The game without a history. Artego Bydg. forced 22 Widzew turnovers and outrebounded them 38-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Julie McBride (165-82, college: Syracuse) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Nigerian-American center Charity Szczechowiak (191-85, college: SF Austin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and power forward Anna Tondel (183-77, agency: Promotex) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
