The most exciting game of round 13 in the 2Liga took place in Lowicz. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th placed Ksiezak Lowicz (6-5) to first ranked Wilki Morskie (10-1) 90-87 on Saturday evening. Wilki Morskie looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Marcin Stoklosa (188-77) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 assists for the winners and center Piotr Wojdyr (217-90, agency: Promotex) chipped in 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Wilki Morskie's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Kacper Kromer (204-87) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds. Wilki Morskie have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 10-1 record. Ksiezak Lowicz at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Wilki Morskie are looking forward to face Suchy Las (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ksiezak Lowicz will play against MKS Skierniew. (#7) in Skierniewice and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Korsarz Gdansk (7-4) against sixth ranked Trefl II Sopot (5-5) on Saturday night. Host Korsarz Gdansk was crushed by Trefl II Sopot in Gdansk 79-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Korsarz Gdansk. David Brembly (197-93) nailed 20 points for the winning side and Aleksander Lebiedzinski accounted for 18 points. Center Piotr Konsek (208-89) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for Korsarz Gdansk in the defeat. Korsarz Gdansk's coach Andrzej Kwasniewski rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Trefl II Sopot moved-up to fifth place in Group A. Korsarz Gdansk at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Trefl II Sopot will play against GTK Gdynia (#8) at home in the next round. Korsarz Gdansk will play against the league's second-placed SMS PZKosz (#2) in Wladyslawowo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (6-5) against fifth ranked Rosa II Radom (5-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Tur Bielsk Pdl. was crushed by Rosa II Radom in Radom 83-56. Robert Cetnar fired 20 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Arkadiusz Zabielski produced a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rosa II Radom moved-up to fourth place in Group C, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser Tur Bielsk Pdl. keeps the third position with five games lost. Rosa II Radom will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against Handlopex AZS in Rzeszow and hope to secure a win.
Pulaski Warka (#5) was upset in Warka by eighth ranked Wisla AWF Kr. 93-84. Worth to mention a great performance of Jakub Dwernicki who helped to win the game recording 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his eight free throws). Wisla AWF Kr.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Wisla AWF Kr. (4-6) moved-up to sixth place in Group C. Pulaski Warka at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Wisla AWF Kr.'s next round opponent will be league's second-placed PWiK Piaseczno at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pulaski Warka will play against the league's leader MCKiS Jaworz. (#1) in Jaworzno.
2Liga top team - AZS AWF K-ce (10-2) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Nysa Klodzko (2-10) in Katowice 88-52. Mariusz Piotrkowski stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. AZS AWF K-ce's coach Miroslaw Stawowski felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for AZS AWF K-ce. They maintain first place in Group B with 10-2 record, which they share with Pogon Prudnik. Loser Nysa Klodzko keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. AZS AWF K-ce's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Katowice to the arena Mickiewicz.

There were no shocking results in the rest of the games of round 13:
In Group A MKS Skierniew. lost to Basket Pila on the opponent's court 70-88. GTK Gdynia managed to outperform Notec in a home game 97-86. SMS PZKosz rolled over Suchy Las on the road 82-60.
In Group B Alba Chorzow were defeated by Tychy on its own court 75-93. GTK Gliwice was smashed by Pogon Prudnik in a road game 80-61. Wschowa was destroyed by Sudety at home 65-85. Mickiewicz was outscored by WKK Wroclaw on the opponent's court 94-68.
In Group C Legia lost to undefeated MCKiS Jaworz. in a home game 62-73. AZS AGH Alstom was defeated by Handlopex AZS on the road 60-77.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 30 points and 13 rebounds by Mikolaj Grod of Notec.

Group A
Basket Pila - MKS Skierniew. 88-70

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 6th ranked MKS Skierniew. (5-6) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Basket Pila (5-6) 88-70 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 14 points at the halftime before their 58-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Basket Pila made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Basket Pila had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Lukasz Krzeminski (200-80) stepped up and scored 31 points for the winners and guard Grzegorz Przewozniak (192-82) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Basket Pila players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Mariusz Wojcik (197-79) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Mariusz Lapinski (194-82) scored 12 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basket Pila moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with defeated MKS Skierniew. Basket Pila will face Notec (#9) in Inowroclaw in the next round.

GTK Gdynia forced 24 Notec turnovers.
