Stelmet ZG (11-5) survived in overtime against Trefl Sopot (11-5) by two points 108-106 on Sunday night. The game took place in Sopot. But the guests from Zielona Gora were better at the end. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Trefl Sopot. Dejan Borovnjak fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Stelmet ZG moved-up to second place, which they share with defeated Trefl Sopot. Stelmet ZG will face Start Gdynia (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trefl Sopot will play against the league's leader PGE Turow (#1) in Zgorzelec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 16 Kotwica was defeated by Start Gdynia in a road game 66-64. Asseco Prok. was beaten by PGE Turow at home 77-90. Energa Czarni was destroyed by Anwil on the opponent's court 78-57. Polpharma outscored AZS Koszalin in a home game 96-73.
The best stats of 16th round was 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 blocks by Nicchaeus Doaks of Siarka Jezioro.

AZS Koszalin was better in second period 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Polpharma looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. AZS Koszalin was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) fired 15 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners.
