#14. Former U18 international center Szymon Lukasiak (208-87, college: Jacksonville, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketligan couldn't help Nassjo (3-19) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Lukasiak's good performance the bottom-ranked Nassjo was badly defeated 101-83 in Boras by the much higher-ranked Basket (#3). He recorded 12 points. Lukasiak has averaged so far 9.0ppg and 5.3rpg. He used to play for the Polish U18 national team back in 2005.

The list of other players, who all have Polish passport but never been selected to any of Polish national teams:

#1. Gal Mekel (190-PG-88, college: Wichita St., currently plays in Israel), who plays in the Israeli Winner League could not help Maccabi Haifa (8-5) to beat Galil Gilboa (4-9). Mekel recorded 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Maccabi Haifa was badly defeated 91-74 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Galil Gilboa (#11). Mekel is the league's best passer. He has very reliable stats this season: 14.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 7.1apg and 1.4spg. Mekel has a dual citizenship: Polish and Israeli.

#2. Vitaliy Kovalenko (203-F-84, currently plays in Ukraine), who plays in the Ukrainian Superleague was not able to help Khimik (14-11) in their last game on Friday. Despite Kovalenko's good performance Khimik was defeated 81-69 in Kyiv by the league outsider BC Kyiv (#14). He scored 10 points. Kovalenko's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Kovalenko's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg and 2.5rpg. He is another player who holds two passports: Polish and Ukrainian.

#3. Konrad Wysocki (201-F-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Princeton, currently plays in Germany) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams EWE Baskets (12-6) in their game against ratiopharm Ulm (12-6) in the German BBL. Malinowski scored 13 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 3 assists. SG Schwelmer Baskets (13-1) is placed first in Group North. It was his team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Malinowski's total stats this season are: 6.6ppg, 3.6rpg and 2.4apg. He also holds two passports: Polish and German. Despite Malinowski's Polish nationality, he previously played for the German U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Polish team.

#5. Robert Lewandowski (208-F-89, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in Czech Republic) was the major contributor in a 1-point BK Usti nad Labem's victory against the closely-ranked Basketbal Svitavy (7-14) 86-85 in the Czech Republic NBL in Saturday night's game. Lewandowski recorded 20 points and added 3 passes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. SLUNETA Usti nad Labem (4-17) closes the standings in the NBL. But the situation may improve as they ended a series of nine consecutive loses. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Lewandowski has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 15.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2bpg. Lewandowski is a naturalized American. He used to play for PGE Turow Zgorzelec in Polish league.

He was the second best scorer with 12 points in 25 minutes. Mackiewicz has very impressive stats this year: 15.2ppg, 4.7rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2bpg in the six games he played so far. He holds both Polish and Uruguayan passports.

#7. Maciej Baginski (195-SF-95, currently plays in Iceland), who plays in the Icelandic Dominos League couldn't help Njardvik (5-12) in their last game. Despite Baginski's very good performance Njardvik was edged 84-83 on their home court in Njardvik by the leading Thor Thorl. He scored 15 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 25 minutes. Baginski has averaged so far 7.1ppg and 3.6rpg in the 13 games. He has Polish and Icelandic nationalities.
