The Regular Season in PLKK is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Krakow. First ranked Artego Bydg. faced 3rd ranked Wisla Can-Pak. Guests from Bydgoszcz (13-1) defeated host Wisla Can-Pak (11-3) 65-49. The game without a history. Artego Bydg. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Julie McBride (165-82, college: Syracuse) who scored 26 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Agnieszka Szott (185-82, agency: Data Plus Group) chipped in 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Artego Bydg. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Defending champion Wisla Can-Pak keeps the third place with three games lost. Artego Bydg. are looking forward to face AZS Rzeszow (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wisla Can-Pak will play against Widzew (#10) in Lodz and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
Leader Artego Bydg. delivered the thirteenth victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-15) 79-49. It was a good game for American guard Julie McBride (165-82, college: Syracuse) who led her team to a victory with 19 points and 8 assists. Charity Szczechowiak contributed with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Dorota Sobczyk (187-77) replied with 20 points for PTK Pabianice. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Artego Bydg. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Newly promoted PTK Pabianice still closes the standings with 15 games lost. Artego Bydg. will play against AZS Rzeszow (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PTK Pabianice will have a break next round.
The game in Gorzow Wlkp. was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Energa Torun (9-4) played at the court of 6th ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (7-7). Energa Torun defeated AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski 70-59 on Sunday. Emilia Tlumak scored 23 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. The best for the losing side was Sybil Dosty with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Energa Torun have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 9-4 record. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski at the other side keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Energa Torun will meet at home BI SSA Gdynia (#7) in the next round. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski will play against the league's second-placed CCC Polkowice and hope to secure a win.

In the last game of round 18 BI SSA Gdynia was crushed by Wisla Can-Pak in Krakow 83-59.


AZS Rzeszow - Lider Pruszkow 43-74

The game with biggest result difference took place in Rzeszow. Local AZS Rzeszow (2-12) was outscored by fifth ranked Lider Pruszkow (9-6) 74-43. It looked good early as AZS Rzeszow took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Lider Pruszkow had a 24-4 second period charge getting the lead and AZS Rzeszow was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 43-74. Lider Pruszkow dominated on the defensive end, holding AZS Rzeszow to just 4 points in second quarter. Lider Pruszkow forced 22 AZS Rzeszow turnovers. The former international power forward Agnieszka Kaczmarczyk (188-89) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and forward Paulina Rozwadowska (190-89, agency: Promotex) supported her with 10 points and 8 rebounds. There was no surprise in Krakow where 7th ranked BI SSA Gdynia (6-8) was crushed by third ranked Wisla Can-Pak (11-3) 83-59. The game was mostly controlled by Wisla Can-Pak. BI SSA Gdynia was better in second period 11-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Wisla Can-Pak dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to BI SSA Gdynia's 36. Wisla Can-Pak forced 19 BI SSA Gdynia turnovers. Center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) notched 27 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Belgian swingman Anke De Mondt (175-79) supported her with 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Wisla Can-Pak players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 rebounds by American guard Talisa Rhea (180-89, college: Seattle) did not help to save the game for BI SSA Gdynia.
