Experienced American Julie McBride (165-G-82) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's leader Artego Bydg. and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 18. The 30-year old guard had the game-high 26 points adding six rebounds and five assists for Artego Bydg. in her team's victory, helping them to crush Wisla Can-Pak (#3, 11-3) with 16-point margin 65-49. It allowed Artego Bydg. to consolidate first place in the Polish PLKK. Artego Bydg. has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 13-1. In the team's last game McBride had a remarkable 57.1% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. She turned to be Artego Bydg.'s top player in her first season with the team. Syracuse University graduate has very impressive stats this year. McBride is league's best scorer averaging so far 19.5ppg and is league's best passer with 6.8apg. McBride is in league's top in and averages solid 2.7spg and 50.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 24-year old center Tina Charles (193-C-88, agency: LBM Management) of Wisla Can-Pak. Charles impressed basketball fans with 27 points and 8 rebounds. Of course she lead Wisla Can-Pak to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked BI SSA Gdynia (#7, 6-8) 83-59. Wisla Can-Pak's 3rd position in has not changed. Her team's 11-3 record is not bad at all. Charles is a newcomer at Wisla Can-Pak and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.
The third best performed player last round was American Sybil Dosty (191-C-86) of Gorzow (#6). Dosty scored 19 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Dosty's great performance Gorzow lost 59-70 to slightly higher-ranked Energa Torun (#4, 9-4). But her team cannot count on just a single player as she also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Gorzow needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in . Their record is 7 victories and 7 lost games. Dosty has a great season in Poland. After 14 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.7rpg (4th best). She also has 1.3bpg and FGP: 54.3%.
