There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The most important game in the last round took place in Krosno between third ranked MKS DG (13-7) and sixth ranked MOSiR Krosno (12-8) on Sunday night. MKS DG was crushed by MOSiR Krosno on the road 97-75. MOSiR Krosno dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG's 42. The best player for the winners was point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) who scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Andrzej Misiewicz (201-84, college: Daytona Beach CC) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Swingman Marek Piechowicz (203-88) produced 15 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. MOSiR Krosno moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sokol Lancut. MKS DG at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. MOSiR Krosno is looking forward to face Znicz Basket (#8) in Pruszkow in the next round. MKS DG will play at home against Spojnia (#10) in Stargard and is hoping to win this game.
Leader Slask Wroclaw delivered the nineteenth victory. This time they crushed 10th ranked WIKANA Start (9-11) 97-67. Point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 6 assists. Radoslaw Hyzy contributed with 20 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners. Swingman Tomasz Celej (198-78, agency: Promotex) replied with 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for WIKANA Start. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slask Wroclaw (19-1) have an impressive 19-game winning streak. They maintain first position. WIKANA Start at the other side keeps the tenth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Spojnia. Slask Wroclaw will play against SKK Siedlce (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. WIKANA Start will play against Stal Ostrow (#6) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
AZS Radex (#12) forced the game against Znicz Basket (#9) into an overtime, but lost by eleven points 81-92 on Saturday night. The game took place in Szczecin. But the guests from Pruszkow were better at the end. Worth to mention a great performance of Grzegorz Malewski who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Lukasz Pacocha responded with 24 points (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Znicz Basket (10-10) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Polonia. Loser AZS Radex keeps the twelfth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Astoria Bydg.. Znicz Basket will meet at home higher ranked MOSiR Krosno (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS Radex will play against UMKS Kielce (#15) and hope to secure a win.
The game in Stargard was also worth to mention about. Sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (12-8) played at the court of 8th ranked Spojnia (9-11). Sokol Lancut defeated Spojnia 80-64. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Spojnia. The winners were led by Maciej Klima who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Spojnia's coach Ireneusz Purwiniecki rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Sokol Lancut moved-up to fourth place, which they share with MOSiR Krosno. Spojnia will play on the road against MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Przemysl, where higher ranked Stal Ostrow (11-9) lost to ninth ranked Polonia (10-10) in a road game 70-79 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Tomasz Zablocki who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line).
