Maciej Klima
Experienced Maciej Klima (205-C-82) had a very impressive game in the last round for Sokol Lancut and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 1Liga Player of the Week award for round 20.
The 30-year old center had a double-double of 24 points and ten rebounds, while his team crushed Spojnia (#10, 9-11) with 16-point margin 80-64. Sokol Lancut is placed at 5th position in Polish 1Liga. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sokol Lancut will need more victories to improve their 12-8 record. In the team's last game Klima had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Sokol Lancut, through which he has constantly improved. Maciej Klima averages this season 13.3ppg and 6.0rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old forward Grzegorz Malewski (200-F-84) of Znicz Basket. Malewski impressed basketball fans with 22 points and 4 rebounds. Of course Znicz Basket cruised to a 92-81 overtime win over the lower-ranked AZS Radex (#12, 8-12). This victory allowed Znicz Basket to move up to 8th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 10-10 record is not bad and everything may still change. Malewski is one of the most experienced players at Znicz Basket and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Wojciech Zurawski (199-F/C-76) of Stal Ostrow (#6). Zurawski scored 23 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Zurawski's great performance Stal Ostrow lost 70-79 to the lower-ranked Polonia (#9, 10-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Stal Ostrow needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 11 victories and 9 lost games. Zurawski has a great season in Poland. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 9.7rpg (3rd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Radoslaw Hyzy (203-F-77) of Slask Wroclaw - 20 points and 3 rebounds
5. Kamil Laczynski (180-PG-89) of MOSiR Krosno - 17 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists
6. Andrzej Misiewicz (201-F-84) of MOSiR Krosno - 20 points and 8 rebounds
7. Jacek Jarecki (197-G-88) of P.Cukier SIDEn - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Damian Pieloch (195-F-89) of Sokol Lancut - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Marcin Flieger (182-PG-84) of Slask Wroclaw - 17 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Przemyslaw Lewandowski (204-F/G-78) of SKK Siedlce - 26 points and 2 rebounds

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
