Pacocha
The most exciting game of round 22 in the 1Liga took place in Szczecin. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of much higher ranked AZS Kutno (16-5) to twelfth ranked AZS Radex (10-12) 68-65 on Sunday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of AZS Kutno. AZS Kutno was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Point guard Lukasz Pacocha (182-82, agency: Promotex) scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Krzysztof Mielczarek (198-81) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. AZS Radex's coach Zbigniew Majcherek used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds. AZS Radex maintains twelfth position with 10-12 record. AZS Kutno at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. AZS Radex are looking forward to face bottom-ranked AZS PP (#16) in Pozoan in the next round. AZS Kutno will play at home against MOSiR Krosno (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Wroclaw. First ranked host Slask Wroclaw (21-1) smashed 4th ranked Sokol Lancut (13-9) 96-67. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sokol Lancut. The former international forward Michal Gabinski (202-87) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and Radoslaw Hyzy supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Even 17 points and 6 rebounds by forward Kacper Mlynarski (200-92) did not help to save the game for Sokol Lancut. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Slask Wroclaw have an impressive 21-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-1 record. Sokol Lancut at the other side keeps the fourth place with nine games lost. They share the position with MOSiR Krosno. Slask Wroclaw will play against MKS DG (#3) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sokol Lancut will play at home against Stal Ostrow in Ostrow Wlkp. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Thirteenth-ranked Astoria Bydg. (8-14) gave a tough game to third ranked MKS DG (14-8) in Bydgoszcz on Sunday. The visitors from Dabrowa Gornicza managed to secure only six-point victory 110-104. However their fans expected much easier game. Lukasz Grzegorzewski fired 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Dorian Szyttenholm produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. MKS DG maintains third position with 14-8 record having seven points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. Newly promoted Astoria Bydg. keeps the thirteenth place with 14 games lost. MKS DG will meet at home league's leader Slask Wroclaw in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Astoria Bydg. will play against Znicz Basket (#10) in Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.

There were no shocking results in the other games in round 22: bottom-ranked AZS PP lost to P.Cukier SIDEn on the opponent's court 68-77. MOSiR Krosno outscored UMKS Kielce in a home game 85-61. Spojnia managed to beat Znicz Basket on the road 72-55. Stal Ostrow defeated SKK Siedlce on its own court 80-74. Start Lublin beat Polonia in a road game 98-85.
