There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in PLKK.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Artego Bydg. (14-2) in Bydgoszcz on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by CCC Polkowice (15-1) 68-57. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Artego Bydg.. It was a key game for the top position in the league as both teams had the same 14-1 record before this meeting. CCC Polkowice had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian Belinda Snell (181-81) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 assists and Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) who added 10 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The former international forward Agnieszka Szott (185-82, agency: Data Plus Group) responded with 16 points. CCC Polkowice have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Artego Bydg. at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. CCC Polkowice are looking forward to face Energa Torun (#4) at home in the next round. Artego Bydg. will play against AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski in Gorzow Wlkp. and is hoping to win this game.
The game between Top Four teams took place in Krakow. Third ranked host Wisla Can-Pak (13-3) smashed one of their biggest challengers Energa Torun (11-5) 77-57. The winners were led by Belgian swingman Anke De Mondt (175-79) who scored that evening 18 points and 5 rebounds and Katarzyna Krezel supported her with 14 points. Wisla Can-Pak's coach Jose Ignacio Hernandez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 14 points by American guard Adrianne Ross (173-84, college: TCU, agency: Merit Sports) did not help to save the game for Energa Torun. Wisla Can-Pak have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains third position with 13-3 record having just two points less than leader CCC Polkowice. Energa Torun at the other side keeps the fourth place with five games lost. Wisla Can-Pak will play against bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Energa Torun will play against the league's leader CCC Polkowice (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to tenth ranked Widzew (2-14) 62-50 on Saturday evening. PTK Pabianice will play against Wisla Can-Pak in Krakow and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Belinda Snell orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. CCC Polkowice have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. BI SSA Gdynia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with ten games lost. CCC Polkowice's next round opponent will be Energa Torun (#4) at home. BI SSA Gdynia will play against Lider Pruszkow and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 20 Energa Torun destroyed AZS Rzeszow on the opponent's court 76-57.


PTK Pabianice - Widzew 50-62

Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-16) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 16th consecutive match to tenth ranked Widzew (2-14) 62-50 on Saturday evening. PTK Pabianice was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Widzew made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. They also forced 24 PTK Pabianice turnovers. The best player for the winners was forward Agnieszka Modelska (180-90) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Magdalena Rzeznik (171-83) chipped in 11 points. Four Widzew players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Agata Gajda (175-80) produced 17 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Dorota Sobczyk (187-77) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. CCC Polkowice dominated on the defensive end, holding BI SSA Gdynia to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Australian Belinda Snell (181-81) orchestrated the victory by scoring 28 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) contributed with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. But then Wisla Can-Pak had a 19-9 second period charge getting the lead and Energa Torun was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 57-77. They outrebounded Energa Torun 60-25 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Belgian swingman Anke De Mondt (175-79) who scored that evening 18 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Katarzyna Krezel (184-85, college: UTEP) supported her with 14 points. Very expected game when 9th ranked AZS Rzeszow (2-14) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Energa Torun (11-5) 76-57. The game was mostly controlled by Energa Torun. AZS Rzeszow was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Nicole Michael (188-87, college: Syracuse) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 7 rebounds. International center Martyna Koc (186-83, agency: Promotex) contributed with 12 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Energa Torun players scored in double figures. Energa Torun's coach Elmedin Omanic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
