Ogwumike
Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-F/C-90) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked CCC Polkowice, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 22-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, eight rebounds) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Energa Torun (#4, 11-6) with 26-point margin 78-52. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed CCC Polkowice to consolidate first place in the Polish PLKK. CCC Polkowice has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 16-1. Ogwumike turned to be CCC Polkowice's top player in her first season with the team. Former Stanford University star has very solid stats this year. Ogwumike is in league's top in points (2nd best: 17.4ppg), rebounds (2nd best: 9.0rpg) and averages impressive 54.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 27-year old Australian Erin Phillips (173-PG-85) of Wisla Can-Pak. Phillips had a very good evening with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Of course she lead Wisla Can-Pak to another comfortable win outscoring PTK Pabianice (#11, 0-17) 83-56. Wisla Can-Pak's 3rd position in the standings has not changed. Her team lost just three games this season, while they won 14 matches. Phillips is one of the most experienced players at Wisla Can-Pak and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was Czech Republic center Leona Jankowska (190-C-77) of Widzew (#8). Jankowska showcased her all-around game by recording 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. She was a key player of Widzew, leading her team to a 78-53 easy win against slightly lower-ranked AZS Rzeszow (#10, 2-15). Widzew can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 3-14 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Jankowska she does not play for a better team. But maybe if she did, her season stats would not be that high. Jankowska has individually a great season in Poland. After 16 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.9ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 7.1rpg (7th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Julie McBride (165-G-82) of Artego Bydg. - 11 points and 15 assists
5. Kristen Morris (190-F-87) of Artego Bydg. - 18 points and 8 rebounds
6. Elzbieta Mowlik (180-F-83) of Artego Bydg. - 23 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Dora Horti (193-C-87) of Wisla Can-Pak - 10 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Daria Mieloszynska (185-F-83) of Wisla Can-Pak - 19 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Chineze Nwagbo (183-G-82) of Gorzow - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Sybil Dosty (191-C-86) of Gorzow - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
