The Regular Season in PLKK just ended.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Krakow. First ranked CCC Polkowice faced 3rd ranked Wisla Can-Pak. Guests from Polkowice (17-1) defeated host Wisla Can-Pak (14-4) 75-61. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Wisla Can-Pak. The game without a history. CCC Polkowice led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was a great shooting night for CCC Polkowice especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. Nigerian-American power forward Nnemkadi Ogwumike (189-90, college: Stanford) fired 29 points for the winners. American point guard Sharnee Zoll (170-86, college: Virginia) chipped in 12 points and 8 assists. Center Tina Charles (193-88, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) produced 30 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. CCC Polkowice have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-1 record. Defending champion Wisla Can-Pak keeps the third place with four games lost.
Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 64-54 loss to tenth ranked AZS Rzeszow (3-15) in Pabianice. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Magdalena Bibrzycka (183-88, agency: Data Plus Group) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds. Edyta Czerwonka contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. The former international point guard Agata Gajda (175-80) replied with 13 points and 4 assists for PTK Pabianice. PTK Pabianice's coach Edyta Koryzna rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS Rzeszow moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Widzew. PTK Pabianice at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings.
The game in Lodz was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski (8-10) played at the court of 8th ranked Widzew (3-15). AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski managed to secure a 4-point victory 67-63 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Widzew. Agnieszka Makowska scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners. At the losing side Leona Jankowska responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski maintains sixth position with 8-10 record. Loser Widzew keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with AZS Rzeszow.
The game in Gdynia was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Artego Bydg. (16-2) played at the court of 7th ranked BI SSA Gdynia (6-12). Artego Bydg. managed to secure a 5-point victory 79-74. Julie McBride notched 25 points and 6 assists to lead the effort. Artego Bydg. maintains second position with 16-2 record behind leader CCC Polkowice. BI SSA Gdynia lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Torun. Local Energa Torun (12-6) outscored 5th ranked Lider Pruszkow (11-7) 87-68 on Saturday night. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Lider Pruszkow. Nicole Michael fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 17 rebounds for the winners. Energa Torun maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Loser Lider Pruszkow keeps the fifth place with seven games lost.


PTK Pabianice - AZS Rzeszow 54-64

Bottom-ranked PTK Pabianice (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 64-54 loss to tenth ranked AZS Rzeszow (3-15) in Pabianice. PTK Pabianice was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 35-23 second half run of AZS Rzeszow. They dominated on the defensive end, holding PTK Pabianice to just 7 points in fourth quarter. AZS Rzeszow forced 21 PTK Pabianice turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Magdalena Bibrzycka (183-88, agency: Data Plus Group) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 7 rebounds. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski managed to secure a 4-point victory 67-63 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Widzew. Widzew trailed by 16 points at halftime and as many as 17 after three quarters before a 24-11 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 63-67 at the end of the game. AZS Gorzow Wielkopolski outrebounded Widzew 43-24 including a 16-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Agnieszka Makowska (182-82) scored 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American center Sybil Dosty (191-86, college: Arizona St.) chipped in 10 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Czech center Leona Jankowska (190-77) responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Lidia Kopczyk (171-88, agency: Promotex) scored 6 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Julie McBride (165-82, college: Syracuse) notched 25 points and 6 assists to lead the effort and the former international forward Agnieszka Szott (185-82, agency: Data Plus Group) supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
