The most exciting game of round 24 in the 1Liga took place in Stargard. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best AZS Kutno (16-7) to seventh ranked Spojnia (13-11) 79-76 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-76. It was a good game for guard Tomasz Stepien (193-86) who led his team to a victory with 19 points. Forward Lukasz Ratajczak (204-86, agency: Promotex) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Forward Jakub Dluski (200-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for AZS Kutno. Spojnia have a solid four-game winning streak. Very important is a home loss of third ranked MOSiR Krosno (14-10) against sixteenth ranked AZS PP (4-19) on Saturday night. Host MOSiR Krosno was edged by AZS PP in a tough game in Krosno 75-78. The best for the losing side was point guard Dariusz Oczkowicz (183-81) with 24 points and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. AZS PP moved-up to fifteenth place.
