#1. This week's number one is an international center Marcin Gortat (211-84, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Phoenix Suns (21-39) in their last game. Despite Gortat's very good performance the Phoenix Suns lost 87-97 at home to the San Antonio Spurs.
He had a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 12 rebounds. Gortat also added 3 assists and 3 blocks in 40 minutes on the court.
Gortat has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 11.2ppg, 8.5rpg, 1.3apg, 1.6bpg, 2FGP: 52.2% and FT: 65.7% in the 60 games he played so far.
Gortat is currently a member of the Polish senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international power forward Maciej Lampe (211-85, currently plays in Euroleague), who plays in Spain. He was not able to help Caja Laboral (4-5) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Lampe's very good performance the sixth-placed Caja Laboral was defeated 66-62 on their home court in Vitoria by the higher-ranked Maccabi T-A (#5) in the group F of Euroleague.
He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 12 rebounds.
Lampe belongs to league's best rebounders and is ranked #7.
He has very reliable stats this season: 13.2ppg, 6.2rpg, 2FGP: 48.5%, 3FGP: 32.4% and FT: 76.9%.
Lampe has a dual citizenship: Polish and Swedish.
He is in the roster of the Polish senior national team.
#3. The Polish player who performed third best last week abroad was an experienced international forward Michal Ignerski (207-80, agency: Stanley International, college: Mississippi St., currently plays in Italy). Ignerski was the major contributor in a Banco di Sardegna Sassari's victory against one of league's weakest teams VL Pesaro (5-15) 87-76 in the Italian SerieA on Sunday night.
He scored 21 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Banco di Sardegna Sassari (16-4) is placed second in the SerieA.
It's Ignerski's first season with the team.
Ignerski has relatively good stats this year: 13.2ppg, 5.3rpg, 2FGP: 53.6%, 3FGP: 31.9% and FT: 73.7% in the 20 games.
He is also a member of the Polish senior national team.
#4. Guard David Logan (185-82, college: Indianapolis, currently plays in Euroleague) faced previously mentioned Maciej Lampe in the Euroleague last game.
Logan led his Israeli team Maccabi T-A to a victory against the closely-ranked Caja Laboral (4-5) 66-62.
He scored 16 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
This season Logan has relatively solid stats: 10.2ppg, 2.5rpg and 1.1spg.
He is a naturalized American.

#5. International center Szymon Szewczyk (209-82, currently plays in Italy) led Umana Venezia to a victory over the closely-ranked Enel Brindisi (10-10) 76-68 in the Italian SerieA last Sunday.
Szewczyk was MVP of the game. He scored 19 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 30 minutes.
Umana Reyer Venezia (11-9) is placed seventh in the SerieA.
Szewczyk has reliable stats this year: 11.5ppg and 5.4rpg in the 18 games.
He plays currently for the Polish national team.
#6. Center Michal Hlebowicki (204-76, currently plays in Latvia) contributed to Jekabpils' victory against the sixth-ranked Jelgava (10-13) 96-88 in the Latvian LBL in Sunday night's game.
He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 13 rebounds in 29 minutes.
BK Jekabpils (16-9) is placed first in the LBL.

The University of Texas at Arlington has a solid 10-5 conference record this season.

#9. U20 international forward Tomasz Gielo (206-93, currently studies in the States) contributed to an overtime Liberty's victory against the Austin Peay State University (3-12) 79-73 in the NCAA on Saturday night.

The Liberty University has not so impressive 5-10 conference record this season.
His team will play only one more game in the NCAA Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial.
Gielo has averaged so far 8.3ppg and 2.9rpg.

#10. Power forward Jakub Wojciechowski (210-90, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Torino (20-4) in their game against Mirandola (11-13) in the Italian Nazionale A (third division).
He was the second best scorer with 9 points. Wojciechowski also added 10 rebounds in 24 minutes.
But the league leader Torino lost 73-83 on the opponent's court to the much lower-ranked (#11) Mirandola.
They ended the series of eight consecutive victories.

#11. Former U20 international forward Olek Czyz (200-90, agency: Priority Sports, college: Nevada, currently plays in Italy) managed to help Acea Virtus Roma to win against the tenth-ranked Juvecaserta 66-64 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game.
Czyz scored only 2 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.
Czyz has averaged so far 6.6ppg and 4.6rpg.

#12. International center Przemyslaw Karnowski (216-93, is currently at the American university) contributed to an easy victory against the University of San Diego crushing them 81-50 in the NCAA last Saturday.

#2.Konrad Wysocki (201-F-82, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Princeton, currently plays in EuroChallenge) led his German team EWE Baskets to a victory over the third-ranked Okapi Aalstar (2-4) 82-74 in the EuroChallenge on Tuesday night.
Wysocki was the best player in that game. He scored 12 points in a mere 16 minutes.
EWE Baskets Oldenburg (5-1) is placed first in group L.
Wysocki's team will play only one more game in the EuroChallenge Top 16. And now that game is very crucial.
This year Wysocki's total stats are: 7.5ppg and 3.9rpg in the 10 games he played so far.

#4.Patrick Wischnewski (191-G-87, currently plays in Germany), who plays in the German ProB (third division) was not able to help Leitershofen (9-11) in their last game. Despite Wischnewski's very good performance Leitershofen (#8) lost 80-84 in Langen to the higher-ranked (#6) TV 1862 in the Group South.
He was the second best scorer with 19 points in 31 minutes.

#5.Robert Lewandowski (208-F-89, college: Texas Tech, currently plays in Czech Republic), who plays in the Czech Republic NBL was not able to secure a victory for BK Usti nad Labem (7-20) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Lewandowski's good performance BK Usti nad Labem (#5) was defeated 91-87 in J.Hradec by the lower-ranked BK Lions Hradec (#7) in the Group A2.
He scored 14 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
Lewandowski averaged so far 13.9ppg, 5.3rpg and 1.5apg.
He is a naturalized American.

#6.Dominik Malinowski (198-SG-91, currently plays in Germany) contributed to a SG Schwelmer Baskets' victory against the ninth-ranked Hannover Tigers 76-71 in the German ProB (third division) last Saturday.

Baginski has averaged so far 8.4ppg and 3.3rpg in the 19 games.
He holds both Polish and Icelandic passports.
Despite Baginski's Polish nationality, he currently plays for the Icelandic U18 national team.

Chatkevicius has tried to make it to the NBA and played for Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Pro Summer League this summer. Talented Daniel Olszewski (200-PF-94) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Shmoolky W-wa and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com 2Liga Player of the Week award for round 13. The 22-year old power forward recorded a triple-double of 21 points adding also fifteen rebounds and ten assists, while his team outclassed Pro-Basket KT (#11, 4-9) with 26-point margin 93-67. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings in Group B. Shmoolky W-wa maintains the 10th position in their group in Polish 2Liga. Shmoolky W-wa is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Olszewski had a remarkable 53.3% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Olszewski has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 10.5rpg) and averages solid 2.9bpg and 56.3% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 28-year old center Piotr Krupa (204-C-88) of AZS PS Gliwice. Krupa impressed basketball fans with 29 points and 5 rebounds. It was enough for AZS PS Gliwice to edge slightly higher-ranked Pogon RS (#8, 5-7) by 2 points 97-95. This victory allowed AZS PS Gliwice to move up to 9th position in Group C. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-9 record. Krupa is one of the most experienced players at AZS PS Gliwice and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Aleksander Dziewa (206-C/F-97) of top-ranked Slask Wroclaw. Dziewa scored 29 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Slask Wroclaw, leading his team to a 97-87 win against the lower-ranked Kalisz (#12, 2-9). Slask Wroclaw have amazing season winning all 12 games without a single defeat in Group D. Dziewa turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Dziewa has a very solid season. In 12 games in Poland he scored 14.9ppg. He also has 9.4rpg and FGP: 63.0%.
