The Regular Season in 1Liga is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 4 rounds.

The biggest surprise of round 26 was guest P.Cukier SIDEn's (14-12) road victory over 7th ranked Spojnia (13-13) 64-57 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. P.Cukier SIDEn led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Jacek Jarecki (197-88) who scored 15 points. Marcin Kowalewski (200-86) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Piotr Trepka (182-80) produced 16 points and 4 assists for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. P.Cukier SIDEn moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Polonia and AZS Radex. P.Cukier SIDEn is looking forward to face Astoria Bydg. (#13) in Bydgoszcz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spojnia will play on the road against AZS Radex (#9) in Szczecin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Wroclaw. First ranked Slask Wroclaw faced second-ranked AZS Kutno. Host Slask Wroclaw (25-1) smashed guests from Kutno (17-8) 91-67. Point guard Marcin Flieger (182-84, agency: Promotex) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points. Pawel Kikowski contributed with 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. Slask Wroclaw's coach Jerzy Chudeusz felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Center Mateusz Szwed (197-91) replied with 14 points and 7 rebounds for AZS Kutno. Slask Wroclaw have an impressive 25-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-1 record. AZS Kutno at the other side keeps the second place with eight games lost. Slask Wroclaw will play against AZS PP (#15) in Pozoan in the next round which should be another easy win for them. AZS Kutno will play at home against Stal Ostrow (#6) in Ostrow Wlkp. and hopes to get back on the winning track.
We should mention about the upset which took place in Przemysl, where higher ranked Sokol Lancut (14-12) lost to twelfth ranked Polonia (13-13) in a road game 68-77 on Saturday. Michal Musijowski had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners. Maciej Klima responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Sokol Lancut's coach Dariusz Kaszowski rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Polonia moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Spojnia and AZS Radex. Sokol Lancut lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with 12 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Polonia will meet higher ranked MOSiR Krosno (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Sokol Lancut will play against MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Ostrow Wlkp.. Local Stal Ostrow (14-12) outscored 16th ranked UMKS Kielce (4-23) 88-54. Adam Kaczmarzyk notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Stal Ostrow moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. UMKS Kielce lost seventh consecutive game. UMKS Kielce at the other side, also newcomer in the league, stay dead last with 23 lost games. Stal Ostrow's next round opponent will be league's second-placed AZS Kutno on the road and it may be quite challenging game. UMKS Kielce will play against WIKANA Start (#7) in Lublin.

Rest of the games of round 26 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
AZS Radex was defeated by MOSiR Krosno in a road game 67-61. Astoria Bydg. smashed AZS PP at home 88-69. MKS DG won against SKK Siedlce on the opponent's court 69-65. Start Lublin managed to outperform Znicz Basket in a home game 105-87.

AZS Kutno was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 51-24 second half run of Slask Wroclaw. The former international guard Pawel Kikowski (193-86, agency: Limelight Hoops) contributed with 18 points and 4 steals for the winners. Four Slask Wroclaw players scored in double figures. There was no surprise when 9th ranked AZS Radex (13-13) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked MOSiR Krosno (15-11) 67-61. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Astoria Bydg. - AZS PP 88-69

No shocking result in a game in Bydgoszcz where thirteenth ranked Astoria Bydg. (11-15) smashed 15th ranked AZS PP (5-20) 88-69. The game was mostly controlled by Astoria Bydg.. AZS PP was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Astoria Bydg. shot 61.1 percent from the field and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Strangely AZS PP outrebounded Astoria Bydg. 37-23 including a 23-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Guard Mateusz Bierwagen (194-88) notched 27 points and 6 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and forward Wojciech Fras (203-91) supported him with 19 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Even 15 points and 9 rebounds by forward Michal Szydlowski (198-87) did not help to save the game for AZS PP. point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) added 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Astoria Bydg. maintains thirteenth position with 11-15 record. AZS PP at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth place with 20 games lost. Astoria Bydg.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked P.Cukier SIDEn (#5) in Torun and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
