Ben McCauley
There will be only one (last) round of the Regular Season in TBL. There was no lack of interesting games this round. The round ended with defeat of the leader, favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked PGE Turow (15-6) in Starogard on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by eighth ranked Polpharma (10-11) 85-79. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-79. Polpharma made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 PGE Turow turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by PGE Turow helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Ben McCauley (206-86, college: N.Carolina St.) stepped up and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and naturalized Belgian center Aleksander Lichodzijewski (202-84) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Michal Chylinski (190-86, agency: Interperformances) with 22 points. Polpharma moved-up to seventh place, which they share with AZS Koszalin. PGE Turow at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. Polpharma is looking forward to face higher ranked Asseco Prok. (#4) in Gdynia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PGE Turow will play at home against Stelmet ZG in Zielona Gora and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Asseco Prok. (14-7) against fourth ranked Trefl Sopot (14-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Asseco Prok. was defeated by Trefl Sopot in Sopot 78-65. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Asseco Prok.. Antiguan-American power forward Kurt Looby (208-84, college: Iowa) nailed 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Frank Turner accounted for 14 points and 4 assists. International center Adam Hrycaniuk (206-84, college: Cincinnati, agency: Alti Sport) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for Asseco Prok. in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Trefl Sopot moved-up to second place, which they share with Stelmet ZG and Asseco Prok. Trefl Sopot will play against Siarka Jezioro (#9) in Tarnobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Asseco Prok. will play at home against Polpharma (#7) in Starogard and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Very important is a home loss of second ranked Stelmet ZG (14-7) against twelfth ranked Rosa Radom (5-16) on Saturday night. Host Stelmet ZG was defeated by Rosa Radom in a tough game in Zielona Gora 96-100. The best player for the winners was Nic Wise who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. At the other side the best for losing team was Oliver Stevic who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Rosa Radom moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Start Gdynia. Loser Stelmet ZG keeps the second position with seven games lost. They share it with Asseco Prok. and Trefl Sopot. Rosa Radom will meet at home higher ranked Kotwica (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Stelmet ZG will play against the league's leader PGE Turow (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
The game in Koszalin was also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Anwil (13-8) played at the court of 7th ranked AZS Koszalin (10-11). Anwil managed to secure a 7-point victory 75-68. It was a good game for Ruben Boykin who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Anwil's coach Milija Bogicevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil maintains fifth place with 13-8 record. AZS Koszalin at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Anwil's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Start Gdynia (#12) at home and are hoping to win another game. AZS Koszalin will play against Energa Czarni (#6) in Slupsk and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Gdynia. Ninth ranked Siarka Jezioro (8-13) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 11th ranked Start Gdynia (5-16) 75-72 on Friday evening. Jakub Dloniak stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Siarka Jezioro maintains ninth place with 8-13 record. Start Gdynia lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. Siarka Jezioro will face league's second-placed Trefl Sopot at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Start Gdynia will play against Anwil (#5) in Wloclawek.

In the last game of round 21 Energa Czarni destroyed Kotwica on the opponent's court 81-62.
