The games at this stage are more interesting as they can be crucial for the final standings in Regular Season. Despite we already know who is stronger and who is weaker, there may be still last minute susprises and upsets. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Slask Wroclaw (25-2) in Pozoan on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifteenth ranked AZS PP (6-20) 72-51. It ended at the same time the 25-game winning streak of Slask Wroclaw. The game was mostly controlled by AZS PP. Slask Wroclaw managed to win second period 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. AZS PP dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Slask Wroclaw's 26. AZS PP forced 23 Slask Wroclaw turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a good game for guard Tomasz Baszak (182-82) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists. point guard Pawel Hybiak (173-89) contributed with 10 points and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Lukasz Diduszko (197-86) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds for Slask Wroclaw. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted AZS PP maintains fifteenth place with 6-20 record. Slask Wroclaw at the other side still keeps top position with two games lost. AZS PP are looking forward to face higher ranked Stal Ostrow (#7) in Ostrow Wlkp. in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Slask Wroclaw will play at home against P.Cukier SIDEn (#5) in Torun and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked UMKS Kielce managed to get a fifth victory, breaking the series of seven consecutive loses. This time newly promoted UMKS Kielce edged seventh-ranked WIKANA Start 89-87. It was a great evening for point guard Hubert Makuch (179-85) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points and 6 assists. Damian Tokarski helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds. UMKS Kielce's coach Rafal Gil allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Sebastian Szymanski (186-91, agency: Promotex) with 22 points and 4 assists. Newly promoted UMKS Kielce maintains sixteenth place with 5-23 record. WIKANA Start at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. UMKS Kielce will play against higher ranked SKK Siedlce (#14) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. WIKANA Start will play against the league's second-placed AZS Kutno (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
The game between ninth ranked AZS Radex (14-13) and 10th ranked Spojnia (13-14) in Szczecin on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. AZS Radex outscored guests from Stargard 98-73. It was a quality performance for Lukasz Pacocha who led the winners and scored 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Hubert Pabian came up with 21 points for Spojnia in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AZS Radex moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Spojnia lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Znicz Basket and Polonia. AZS Radex will meet Astoria Bydg. (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spojnia will play against MOSiR Krosno and hope to secure a win.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 27: Polonia was beaten by MOSiR Krosno on the road 85-73. AZS Kutno won against Stal Ostrow on its own court 74-66. Sokol Lancut unfortunately lost to MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza 64-72. P.Cukier SIDEn managed to beat Astoria Bydg. at home 92-77. SKK Siedlce was crushed by Znicz Basket on the opponent's court 81-61.
The most impressive performance of 27th round was 24 points and 6 rebounds by Damian Pieloch of Sokol Lancut.

MOSiR Krosno - Polonia 85-73

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked MOSiR Krosno (16-11) beat at home 11th ranked Polonia (13-14) 85-73 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by MOSiR Krosno. Polonia managed to win third quarter 21-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for MOSiR Krosno especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Kamil Laczynski (180-89) who led the winners and scored 18 points and 5 assists. Forward Marcin Salamonik (202-83) accounted for 19 points for the winning side. Four MOSiR Krosno players scored in double figures. MOSiR Krosno's coach Dusan Radovic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Grzegorz Plocica (190-80) came up with 26 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Michal Musijowski (180-89) added 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Polonia in the defeat. MOSiR Krosno maintains fourth place with 16-11 record. Loser Polonia dropped to the tenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Znicz Basket and Spojnia. MOSiR Krosno will meet Spojnia (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Polonia will play against MKS DG in Dabrowa Gornicza and hope to secure a win.

AZS Kutno - Stal Ostrow 74-66

Very expected game when 6th ranked Stal Ostrow (14-13) lost on the road to second ranked AZS Kutno (18-8) 74-66 on Wednesday. Stal Ostrow trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-74 at the end of the game. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Dawid Brek (185-89, agency: Promotex) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Power forward Wojciech Glabas (207-90) accounted for 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Filip Matczak (186-93) added 22 points and 4 assists respectively for Stal Ostrow in the defeat. Stal Ostrow's coach Mikolaj Czaja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. AZS Kutno maintains second place with 18-8 record having eight points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. Newly promoted Stal Ostrow keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. AZS Kutno will meet WIKANA Start (#6) in the next round.
