There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in 2Liga. There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and games ending by tiny margin.

The biggest surprise of round 24 was guest Zubry's (#7) road victory over AZS UJK Kielce (#8) 77-65 on Sunday evening. The best player for the winners was guard Krzysztof Kalinowski (186-76) who scored 22 points, 7 assists and 5 steals. Arkadiusz Zabielski (197-84) chipped in 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Zubry's coach Jakub Jakubiec used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Jakub Lewandowski (194-92) who recorded 26 points. Zubry (12-12) have an impressive five-game winning streak. Newly promoted Zubry maintains seventh position. AZS UJK Kielce at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 13 games lost. Zubry are looking forward to face Pro-Basket KT (#11) in Kutno in the next round. AZS UJK Kielce will play on the road against Shmoolky W-wa in Warszawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Important game to mention about took place in Opole. Fourth ranked MCKiS Jaworz. (15-9) saved a 1-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked AZS KU PO (12-9) 92-91 in the game for the fourth place. It was a good game for guard Dawid Grochowski (190-89) who saved his team from a defeat with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Tomasz Bryzek contributed with 11 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. point guard Krzysztof Chmielarz (180-88) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) for AZS KU PO. AZS KU PO's coach Jedrzej Suda rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. MCKiS Jaworz. maintains fourth position with 15-9 record, which they share with Tur Bielsk Pdl. AZS KU PO lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. MCKiS Jaworz. will play against MKS DG 2 (#12) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS KU PO will play at home against Przemysl (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked AZS PGd (14-8) against seventh ranked AZS UMK Torun (13-8) on Sunday night. Host AZS PGd was defeated by AZS UMK Torun in a tough game in Gdansk 60-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS PGd. Worth to mention a great performance of Radoslaw Plebanek who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Robert Kolka with 22 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UMK Torun moved-up to fifth place. Loser AZS PGd keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Asseco II. AZS UMK Torun will meet league's leader Pelplin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS PGd will play against Goleniow and hope to secure a win.
An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Lowicz. First ranked KK Warszawa faced 3rd ranked Syntex Ksiezak. Guests from Warszawa (22-2) defeated host Syntex Ksiezak (18-5) 71-67. The winners were led by Michal Wojtynski who scored that evening 17 points. KK Warszawa's coach Andrzej Kierlewicz allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. KK Warszawa have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-2 record. Syntex Ksiezak at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. KK Warszawa's next round opponent will be AZS PS Kielce (#14) at home which should be an easy win for them. Syntex Ksiezak will play against LKS MG13 Lodz (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Leader Pelplin delivered the twentieth victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 12th ranked AZS PP (2-20) 88-61 in Poznan. The best player for the winners was Tomasz Krzywdzinski who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Pelplin's coach Przemyslaw Bielinski felt very confident that he used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Pelplin (20-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position. AZS PP lost fourteenth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 20 games lost. Pelplin will face AZS UMK Torun (#5) at home in the next round. AZS PP will play against Tarnovia (#10) in Tarnowo Podgorne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rest of the games of round 24 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
TKM Wloclawek was crushed by Asseco II in Gdynia 115-61. Gniezno beat Domino Inowr. at home 81-74. Suchy Las lost to Trefl II Sopot on the opponent's court 56-68. Goleniow unfortunately lost to SMS PZKosz in a home game 64-70. Pro-Basket KT was rolled over Start Lublin II on the road 59-78. AZS UMCS Lbn crushed AZS PS Kielce on its own court 82-44. Shmoolky W-wa beat Ostrow Mazow. in Warszawa 80-70. Rosa III Radom won against Tur Bielsk Pdl. at home 92-82. LKS MG13 Lodz managed to outperform Stal SW on the opponent's court 62-54. AZS AWF Mick. rolled over AZS PCz in a home game 135-67. Polonia Bytom defeated AZS PS Gliwice on the road 82-78. Przemysl smashed Zaglebie on its own court 85-64. Pogon RS won against MKS DG 2 in Ruda Slaska 131-125. Rybnik was outscored by R8 Basket Krk. at home 57-93. Otmuchow recorded a loss to Gimbasket WRC on the opponent's court 66-54. Sudety defeated Miedzychod in a home game 73-65. Slask Wroclaw beat Katy Wroclawskie on the road 69-57. Koscian was destroyed by Gornik Walbrzych on its own court 69-89. Rawia outscored Kalisz in Rawicz 113-74. Gimbasket WRC managed to beat Otmuchow at home 66-54. Suchy Las defeated AZS UMK Torun on the opponent's court 64-62. Otmuchow was beaten by Gornik Walbrzych in a home game 73-79.
The best stats of 24th round was 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists by Rafal Malitka of Gimbasket WRC.

AZS PGd - AZS UMK Torun 60-66

Very important is a home loss of third ranked AZS PGd (14-8) against seventh ranked AZS UMK Torun (13-8) on Sunday night. Host AZS PGd was defeated by AZS UMK Torun in a tough game in Gdansk 60-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS PGd. Worth to mention a great performance of Radoslaw Plebanek (190-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Dawid Przybyszewski (215-81, college: Vanderbilt) who added 12 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Robert Kolka (184-93) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Lukasz Jaskiewicz (202-92) scored 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. AZS UMK Torun moved-up to fifth place. Loser AZS PGd keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with Asseco II. AZS UMK Torun will meet league's leader Pelplin in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. AZS PGd will play against Goleniow and hope to secure a win.

There was no surprise in Gdynia where 13th ranked TKM Wloclawek (2-20) was crushed by fourth ranked Asseco II (14-8) 115-61 on Saturday. Asseco II dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to TKM Wloclawek's 28. Asseco II forced 24 TKM Wloclawek turnovers and outrebounded them 49-20 including a 17-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Asseco II looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by TKM Wloclawek's players. The best player for the winners was forward Filip Put (201-93) who scored 31 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Wojciech Czerlonko (195-95) chipped in 25 points and 8 assists. Four Asseco II players scored in double figures. Asseco II's coach Milos Mitrovic felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Mateusz Krawiec (187-87) who recorded 17 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Juliusz Baranski (196-96) added 16 points respectively. Asseco II moved-up to third place, which they share with AZS PGd. TKM Wloclawek lost tenth consecutive game. They dropped to the twelfth position with 20 games lost. Asseco II will face AZS UMK Torun (#5) on the road in the next round. TKM Wloclawek will play against Tarnovia (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Gniezno (11-12) defeated at home 6th ranked Domino Inowr. (13-9) 81-74 on Saturday. Gniezno forced 20 Domino Inowr. turnovers and outrebounded them 52-39 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Szymon Budnikowski (200-84) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks. Forward Dariusz Dobrzycki (193-84) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Gniezno players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marcin Majer (199-88) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and guard Mateusz Marciniak (190-90) added 20 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Gniezno maintains ninth position with 11-12 record. Loser Domino Inowr. keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Gniezno will have a break next round.
