The most exciting game of round 24 in the 1Liga took place in Leszno. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Polonia Leszno (14-10) to third ranked Spojnia (17-7) 68-65 on Friday evening. Spojnia made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. 26 personal fouls committed by Polonia Leszno helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for guard Marcin Dymala (188-90) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 4 assists. Forward Hubert Pabian (200-89, agency: Promotex) contributed with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Spojnia's coach Krzysztof Koziorowicz used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Power forward Maciej Rostalski (198-90) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds for Polonia Leszno. Spojnia have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-7 record having just three points less than leader Sokol Lancut. Newly promoted Polonia Leszno dropped to the sixth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Pogon Prudnik. Spojnia are looking forward to face Kotwica (#11) in Kolobrzeg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Polonia Leszno will play on the road against Nysa Klodzko (#16) in Kloszko and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.

The best for the losing side was Dawid Adamczewski (190-91) with 29 points and 7 rebounds. Notec Inowr.'s coach Milos Sporar rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sokol Lancut have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-4 record. Notec Inowr. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost. The visitors from Tychy managed to secure only two-point victory 78-76. However their fans expected much easier game. The winners were led by Tomasz Bzdyra who scored that evening 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by Marcin Bluma did not help to save the game for Nysa Klodzko. GKS Tychy maintains fifth position with 15-9 record. Nysa Klodzko at the other side stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. GKS Tychy will meet at home AZS AGH Krk. (#14) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nysa Klodzko will play against Polonia Leszno and hope to secure a win.
The game between fourteenth ranked AZS AGH Krk. (8-16) and 12th ranked Notec Inowr. (9-16) in Krakow ended with biggest points difference. AZS AGH Krk. outscored guests from Inowroclaw 79-59. The best player for the winners was Bartosz Wrobel who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted AZS AGH Krk. maintains fourteenth position with 8-16 record. Notec Inowr. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost. AZS AGH Krk.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked GKS Tychy (#5) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 24: Kotwica was beaten by SKK Siedlce on the road 87-70. Legia W-wa won against Pogon Prudnik on its own court 85-75. GTK Gliwice managed to outperform AZS AGH Krk. in a road game 81-73.

SKK Siedlce - Kotwica 87-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked SKK Siedlce and 10th ranked Kotwica had identical 9-14 record. This time SKK Siedlce used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kolobrzeg 87-70. SKK Siedlce had a 32-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Damian Szymczak (186-95) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Rafal Rajewicz (204-88, agency: Promotex) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Daniel Grujic (201-90) who recorded 21 points and 6 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and power forward Lukasz Bodych (201-90) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of 7th ranked Polonia Leszno (14-10) to third ranked Spojnia (17-7) 68-65 on Friday evening.
