FC Porto celebrated LPB title. They held off Benfica at home court to win the championship series 3-1. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-85. FC Porto Ferpinta made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) fired 23 points for the winners. The other American import center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Washburn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four FC Porto Ferpinta players scored in double figures. FC Porto Ferpinta's coach Moncho Lopez used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) produced 22 points and 9 rebounds and Croatian power forward Ivica Radic (208-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) added 20 points and 10 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) respectively for lost side.

Benfica conquered the Portuguese Cup title. They rallied past Ovarense in the Final. Daequan Cook (195-G-87, college: Ohio St., agency: Priority Sports) scored 25 points and was named the MVP.
The Final turned into quite a lopsided affair. Benfica gained a 23:15 lead ten minutes into the game. They established a 48:36 halftime lead. Benfica held Ovarense to only 2 points in the third term to open a comfortable 31-point lead heading into the fourth frame. Benfica unleashed 34 points in the final stanza to roll to the victory. Ivica Radic (208-F/C-90, agency: XL Basketball Agency) finished with 16 points, while Jeremiah Wilson (205-PF-88, college: Tarleton St.) added 15 points for the winners. FC Porto got away with the Hugo dos Santos Cup trophy after they edged Benfica in the Final today. Pedro Bastos (186-PG-94) scored 13 points to pace well-balanced effort from the winners.
Benfica snatched a narrow 14:13 lead after the opening quarter. They stayed in charge in the second period. Benfica arrived at the big break up by three points 31:28. However FC Porto denied the deficit in the third term. They pulled ahead for a 47:48 lead at the final break. FC Porto kept the lead throughout the fourth frame. Carlos Andrade (197-F-78, college: Queens, NC) had the chance to force overtime late in regulation but the referee ruled his long distance shot two points and FC Porto got away with the win. Jose Silva (194-G/F-89) and Bradley Tinsley (191-G-89, college: Vanderbilt) finished with 12 points each for the triumphant team. Daequan Cook (195-G-87, college: Ohio St., agency: Priority Sports) responded with 20 points for Benfica. The Eagles stretched the margin in the third term. They accumulated 64:30 lead at the final break. Benfica stayed in charge throughout the fourth quarter and marched to the victory. North overcame South in All Star game 87:85. They posted a 19-18 win in the opening period and added massive 27-17 surge in the second frame. South looked better in the second half and managed to come up with two victories. It was only however enough to reduce the gap to 2 points at the end. Jose Miguel Barbosa (178-PG-90) scored a free throw at the end for the final result. Jordan Baker (201-G-91, college: Alberta) was named MVP of the game with 17 points and 11 rebounds. For Team North Igor Djukovic (202-F/G-87, agency: Dynamics Global Management) top-scored with 14 points, while Bradley Tinsley (191-G-89, college: Vanderbilt) and Joao Balseiro (192-F-87) netted 12 each. For South Sasa Borovnjak (206-C/F-89, college: Penn St.) and Wilson posted 14 apiece.
