Alges celebrated victory in Liga Feminina. They defeated AD Vagos 3-1 in the championship series. The decisive victory came on the road 61:59 in the fourth game of the series. Christina Wirth (186-G/F-87, college: Vanderbilt) came up with 24 points and 8 rebounds to pace Alges to a tough victory at the end. Alges held the hosts to just 10 points in the opening quarter to surge ahead. They posted a 6-point lead at the first intermission. AD Vagos slowly adjusted their game as they narrowed the deficit in the second quarter. The home team trailed by five points at the interval 28:33. The teams traded baskets throughout the third quarter as Alges ensured a 5-point lead heading into the fourth period. AD Vagos went on a desperate comeback rally in the final frame but came up just short of win at the end. AD Vagos claimed the Portuguese Cup trophy. They defeated Alges in the title clash in Vila Real. Flavia Santos (187-C-82) exploded with 24 points and 11 rebounds to pace the winners. AD Vagos enjoyed a narrow 11:10 lead after ten minutes of action. The teams exchanged baskets throughout the second term. AD Vagos remained in front 27:26 at the interval. BoaViagem celebrated the Federation Cup title. They overcame AD Vagos in Alges to clinch the trophy. Corin Adams (170-G-88, agency: Gamble Sports Management, college: Morgan St.) knocked down 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace the winners. She was named the MVP after the game. AD Vagos entered the game aggressively. They established a 21:13 lead after ten minutes of action. But BoaViagem slowed their opponents down in the second quarter.
