Academica and Sampaense joined Benfica and Porto in the Portuguese Cup Final Four. Academica overcame Ovarense 51:42 in a low-scoring battle. The teams combined for just 48 points in the first half as Academica eked out a 25:23 lead. Ovarense denied the deficit in the third term tying thing up at 34. But Academica limited their opponents to 8 points in the final frame and surged ahead for the victory. Rolando Howell (206-C/F-82, college: S.Carolina) notched 12 points to lead the effort. Fernando Sousa (192-F/G-81) and Diogo Simoes (178-G-80) added 11 points each in the victory. Austen Powers (203-F-87, college: Seattle) and Christopher Lee (206-C-84, agency: SDJ Sports, college: S.Carolina St.) answered with 12 points apiece for Ovarense. Sampaense took down Lusitania 85:80 behind 24 points from Brian Addison (205-F-87, college: Buffalo). Lusitania strongly entered the game building a 25:14 lead after ten minutes. Lusitania secured a 48:38 lead at the interval. But Sampaense turned things around in the second half. They unloaded 28 points in the third quarter to narrow the gap to 2 points. Lusitania managed just 12 points in the final term as Sampaense rallied to the victory. Ivan Almeida (198-G-89, college: Stonehill) knocked down 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds in the win. Brian Mills (203-F-88, agency: Pro One Sports, college: Mercer) topscored with 27 points and 11 boards for Lusitania.

Eurobasket.com: Inform the decision, regarding basketball, you took in the past and changed your life. My High School coach (Charles Jackson MCSM) was the one who who showed me with hard work basketball can take me very far in life. He is someone I looked up too so I decided to trust him and work hard. He was right because it earned me a scholarship to the University of Rhode Island and has taken me all over the world. (Norway, Brasil,Syria,Mxico). I have made life time friends here in Portugal and met my wife who has given me a beautiful baby girl. All this from basketball,its truly a blessing.
Eurobasket.com: What about you future plans, you see yourself playing in Portugal again or you are planning to find a job in a new league? Portugal has been very good to me but I am looking to play in a new league to better support my family.
Eurobasket.com: What about the best game you had in till now in your career, what stats you had and when was it? I have had a couple 20 point 20 rebound games but I think my best game was having 22 points 18 rebounds 4 blks and 19 14 rebounds 3 blks in games that helped us win proliga championships in 2008 and 2010
Eurobasket.com: How do you like to spend your free time? I love spending all my free time with my wife and daughter.
Eurobasket.com: How you can describe yourself as a player. I'm a hard worker and extremely passionate basketball who plays with a lot energy on both sides of the court.
