Oliveirense - Electrico FC 77-54

Olivairense celebrated the second win in a row against Electrico FC. The game was mostly controlled by Oliveirense. Electrico FC managed to win fourth quarter 13-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Oliveirense forced 30 Electrico FC turnovers. American forward Deantre Jefferson (203-F-88, college: Chattanooga) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) to lead the charge for the winners and center Andre Pereira (200-90) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Oliveirense players scored in double figures. Oliveirense's coach Sergio Salvador felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Tiago Pinto (183-88) responded with 14 points and forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) scored 11 points.

Angra - Fisica 76-78

Fisica prevailed against Angra on the road to level the quarterfinal series at 1-1. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-76. Fisica dominated on the defensive end, holding Angrabasket to just 7 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was guard Nuno Monteiro (180-86) who scored 20 points. Cape Verdean guard Braima Freire (188-82) chipped in 12 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Fisica players scored in double figures. Cape Verdean swingman Flavio Gomes (194-89) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Drew Gibson (188-85, college: Wofford) added 20 points respectively for the hosts.

Alges - Sangalhos 84-42

Alges toppled Sangalhos to take 2-0 lead in the series. The game without a history. Alges led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Sangalhos to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 42.5 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Sangalhos 53-26 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward DeSean White (203-86, college: Northwood, FL) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 19 rebounds to lead the effort and Angolan forward Sergio Correia (197-85) supported him with 11 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even 12 points and 5 rebounds by forward Nuno Bizarro (192-80) did not help to save the game for Sangalhos. Guard Jorge Seabra (174-81) added 6 points and 4 assists for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.

Illiabum - Galitos-Tley 62-67

Galitos-Tley stunned Illibaum on the road to draw things level in the series. It looked good early as Illiabum took an 8-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Galitos-Tley took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 5 points. Cape Verdean forward Denis Neves (197-78) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Alexandre Coelho (178-90) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners. The former international guard Joao Figueiredo (183-79) replied with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and American center Dain Swetalla (206-86, college: Augustana, IL) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Illiabum.
