American Layne Murphy (188-F) put on an amazing game in the last round for GDESSA and that's her to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 2. The forward had a double-double of 26 points and twenty two rebounds, while her team crushed, the league's bottom-ranked team CD Torres N. (#11, 0-2) with 18-point margin 86-68. GDESSA maintains the 3rd position in Portuguese Liga Feminina. But it's just the very beginning of the season and GDESSA won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. Murphy turned to be GDESSA's top player in her first season with the team. Chicago State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Murphy is in league's top in points (5th best: 21.0ppg).
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was -year old American center Daina Grazulis (190-C) of league's best team Boa Viagem. Grazulis impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 26 points and 15 rebounds. Of course she led Boa Viagem to another comfortable win outscoring Lousada (1-1) 66-40. Her team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Grazulis is a newcomer at Boa Viagem and it seems she did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#4). She also registered 15.5 boards per game.
The third best performed player last round was Mariana Silva (182-PF-99) of Olivais (#4). Silva scored 29 points and grabbed fifteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Olivais, leading her team to a 74-61 easy win against Benfica (1-1). Olivais needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Silva has a great season in Portugal. After only 2 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 11.0rpg (9th best).

We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
