The Regular Season in Proliga just started. Host teams show no mercy winning all games.

Oliveirense - Benfica B 84-60

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Benfica B (0-1) in Oliveira. Visitors were rolled over by Oliveirense (1-0) 84-60. Oliveirense led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Benfica B's 30 and made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Oliveirense forced 26 Benfica B turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of center Andre Pereira (200-90) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Nuno Cortez (205-82) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Oliveirense players scored in double figures. Power forward Pedro Belo (214-92) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Joao Ribeiro (201-93) added 10 points in the effort for Benfica B. Benfica B's coach Goran Nogic gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Oliveirense will play against Ginasio in Figueira da Foz in the next round. Benfica B will have a break next round.

Electrico FC - Illiabum 93-92 OT

Electrico FC edged Illiabum in Ponte de Sor 93-92 in overtime. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 17-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-16. Electrico FC forced 20 Illiabum turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Illiabum helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Naturalized Cape Verdean swingman Mario Neves (190-77) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Aylton Medeiros (194-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. International Miguel Queiroz (202-91) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Tiago Raimundo (194-90) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Electrico FC and five Illiabum players scored in double figures. Illiabum will play next round against strong Maia Basket. Electrico FC will try to continue on its current victory against Sangalhos at home.

Maia Basket - Sangalhos 66-47

Maia Basket used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Sangalhos 66-47 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Maia Basket. Sangalhos was better in third quarter 14-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maia Basket forced 22 Sangalhos turnovers and outrebounded them 41-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Center Paulo Diamantino (203-85) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds for the winners. Forward Ricardo Pinto (189-82) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. Four Maia Basket players scored in double figures. Swingman Emanuel Silva (188-79) produced 16 points and forward Luis Fonte (191-79) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Maia Basket will face Illiabum in Ilhavo in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sangalhos will play on the road against Electrico FC in Ponte de Sor.

Terceira take advantage of home court in first game of final series of Proliga and grab first win. Next game will be played on 26th of May. Terceira - Barreirense 63-56 Naturalized Sao Tome and Principe center Ekjersey Viana (203-77) stepped up and scored 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and guard Luis-Felipe Tomassi (175-92) chipped in 16 points.
