Frederico
Tavares
24-year old forward Frederico Tavares (194-F-88) had an amazing evening in the last round for Terceira and receives a Eurobasket.com Proliga Player of the Week award for round 6.
He had a double-double of 23 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat Ginasio (#8, 2-4) 82-76. Thanks to this victory Terceira moved-up to the 11th position in the Portuguese Proliga. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked at the very bottom. They already lost 6 games and recorded just one victory. Tavares has many years of experience at Terceira, through which he has constantly improved. Frederico Tavares averages this season 11.9ppg and 6.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Chano Rashiduddin (208-C). He is American center in his first season at Terceira. In the last game Rashiduddin recorded impressive double-double of 17 points and 17 rebounds. It was enough for Terceira to edge the higher-ranked Ginasio (#8, 2-4) by 6 points 82-76. Despite this victory Terceira slide down in the standings to the very bottom in . 6 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Terceira managed to get this year. Rashiduddin is a newcomer at Terceira and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.7ppg (#5). He also registered 13.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Tiago Barreiro (187-G-83) of Ginasio (#8). Barreiro showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists in the last round. He was a key player of Ginasio, leading his team to a 82-65 easy win against slightly higher-ranked Angra (#7, 3-4). The chances of Ginasio not to end season at such low position in Round 7, however are less than slim as they have already lost 4 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Barreiro could try to bring Ginasio's a little bit higher in the standings. Barreiro has individually a great season in Portugal. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 14.3ppg (7th best) and assists with 3.8apg (4th best). He also has 3.0spg and FGP: 60.4%.

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
