Sergi Coll
Spanish power forward Sergi Coll (204-F/C-82) put on an amazing game in the last round for second-ranked Ovarense, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 24 points and 10 rebounds, while his team beat Fisica (#7, 2-4) 59-48. Ovarense maintains the 2nd position in Portuguese LPB. They are still close to the very top. Ovarense would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 6-1 record. Coll turned to be Ovarense's top player in his first season with the team. Sergi Coll averages this season 14.1ppg and 6.4rpg.

The second best player in last round's games was 26-year old American Charlie Swiggett (185-G-86) of Vitoria SC. Swiggett had a very good evening with 30 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Vitoria SC lost that game 85-92 to slightly higher-ranked CAB Madeira (4-2). This loss caused Vitoria SC to drop to 5th position in . His team lost some distance to top teams. But 4-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Swiggett is a newcomer at Vitoria SC, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 18.7ppg (#3). He also recorded 4.2 assists per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Arnette Hallman (199-F-88) of Academica (#4). Hallman showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, ten rebounds and five assists in the last round. Despite Hallman's great performance Academica lost 73-78 to #3 ranked CAB Madeira. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Academica needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams in Round 3. Their record is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Hallman has a great season in Portugal. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.0rpg (#1 in league).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Marko Loncovic (200-F-91) of Barcelos - 19 points and 16 rebounds
5. Joao Gomes (201-SG-85) of Benfica - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
6. Marcel Momplasir (205-C-81) of Lusitania - 15 points and 10 rebounds
7. Rui Coelho (191-G-89) of Barcelos - 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Shawn Jackson (203-F/C-71) of CAB Madeira - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Braima Freire (188-G-82) of Fisica - 19 points and 6 rebounds
10. Antonio Pires (185-G-86) of Alges - 16 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
