The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with change at the leadership position and favorites losing the games.

Liga Feminina round 13 caused change at the leadership position. Second defeat of league's leader Lombos Quinta (9-2) against seventh ranked Boa Viagem (7-6) 55-48 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Lombos Quinta. Boa Viagem maintains seventh place with 7-6 record. Lombos Quinta at the other side dropped to the second position with two games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by GDESSA. Lombos Quinta will play next round against Ovarense trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Boa Viagem will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Montijobanda on the road.
The game had a very big importance for second-ranked GDESSA as it allowed them to take a leadership position. GDESSA defeated 10th ranked Montijobanda in Barreiro 71-55. The former international Vera Correia (178-80) stepped up and scored 23 points and 4 assists for the winners and Keyona Bryant chipped in 16 points and 12 rebounds. GDESSA's coach Nuno Manaia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American power forward Monae Baker (185, college: Shippensburg) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds. GDESSA have a solid series of three victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Montijobanda lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with nine games lost. Montijobanda will play next round against Boa Viagem trying to get back on the winning streak. GDESSA will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Olivais at Coimbra.

(#8) in Torres Novas and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ovarense will play on the road against the league's second-placed Lombos Quinta (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
The game in Torres Novas was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked CAB Madeira (7-3) played at the court of 8th ranked CDTorres N. (4-9). CAB Madeira defeated CDTorres N. 79-63 on Sunday. CAB Madeira maintains sixth place with 7-3 record. Loser CDTorres N. keeps the eighth position with nine games lost. CAB Madeira will face higher ranked AD Vagos (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. CDTorres N. will play against Academico FC in Porto and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 13 AD Vagos smashed Lousada on the road 105-67.

Alges - Olivais 61-51

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Olivais (9-3) against fourth ranked Alges (9-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Olivais were defeated by Alges in Alges 61-51. Olivais were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Alges dominated on the defensive end, holding Olivais to just 7 points in fourth quarter. American forward Laura Broomfield (185-90, college: N.Carolina) nailed a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Jessica Almeida (172-93) accounted for 11 points and 6 rebounds. The former international guard Ana Fonseca (168-78) came up with 13 points and 4 assists and Angolan forward Artemis Afonso (175-93) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively for Olivais in the defeat. Lousada - AD Vagos 67-105

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked AD Vagos (9-4) crushed on the road 9th ranked Lousada (3-8) 105-67 on Sunday. The game without a history. AD Vagos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Lousada's 40. AD Vagos forced 30 Lousada turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Ebony Ellis (190-88, college: N.Illinois, agency: Promotex) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. International swingman Daniela Domingues (176-92) contributed with 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five AD Vagos players scored in double figures. American forward Christina Dewitt (188-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Gamble Sports Management) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 18 rebounds and forward Nanci Barbosa (169-90) added 20 points in the effort for Lousada. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. AD Vagos have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 9-4 record. Newly promoted Lousada keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. AD Vagos will face CAB Madeira (#6) in Funchal in the next round. Lousada will play on the road against Alges.
