22-year old forward Taylor Turnbow (187-F-90, agency: Merit Sports) had a great game in the last round for CDTorres N. and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14. She had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds, while her team crushed Academico FC (#10, 3-12) with 21-point margin 68-47. CDTorres N. maintains the 8th position in Portuguese Liga Feminina. CDTorres N. is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 5-9 record. Turnbow turned to be CDTorres N.'s top player in her first season with the team. Louisiana State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Turnbow is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 11.3rpg) and averages solid 3.2spg.
Second best performed player last round was Christina Dewitt (188-F-87, agency: Gamble Sports Management) of Lousada. She is American forward in her first season at Lousada. In the last game Dewitt recorded impressive double-double of 35 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Lousada lost that game 53-79 to the higher-ranked Alges (#3, 10-3). Lousada is still in a red zone at 9th spot in the standings. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Lousada managed to get this year. Dewitt is a newcomer at Lousada and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.0ppg (#5). She also registered 16.7 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Ta-Myra Davis (185-F/C-87) of Boa Viagem (#7). Davis scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds. She was a key player of Boa Viagem, leading her team to a 58-39 easy win against the lower-ranked Montijobanda (#11, 2-10). Boa Viagem needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 6 lost games. Davis has a great season in Portugal. After 12 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.8ppg (2nd best) and rebounds with 13.0rpg (5th best).
