There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with defeat of the leader and extra overtimes.

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Lombos Quinta as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Lombos Quinta defeated 6th ranked AD Vagos in Carcavelos 72-65 in overtime. AD Vagos were tied after three quarters and then recorded another tie at the end of regular time. They were eventually defeated in overtime 1-8s. They outrebounded AD Vagos 41-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Hailey Dunham (188-87, college: USC, agency: Merit Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized Senegalese Felicite Mendes (170-91) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Ines Faustino (170-92) responded with 25 points. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with GDESSA and Alges. AD Vagos at the other side keep the sixth place with six games lost. AD Vagos will play next round against Montijobanda trying to get back on the winning streak. Lombos Quinta will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked CAB Madeira in Funchal.

Alges - Boa Viagem 77-43

Very expected game when 7th ranked Boa Viagem (9-7) was crushed on the road by first ranked Alges (12-3) 77-43 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Alges. Boa Viagem was better in fourth quarter 13-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Boa Viagem to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great shooting night for Alges especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by Boa Viagem's players. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Laura Broomfield (185-90, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Katie Gearlds (186-84, college: Purdue) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Alges' coach Jose Araujo felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Ta-Myra Davis (185-87, college: Wright St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and guard Jasmine Crew (170-89, college: Seton Hall) scored 19 points. Alges have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 12-3 record, which they share with GDESSA and Lombos Quinta. Loser Boa Viagem keeps the seventh place with seven games lost. Alges will face bottom-ranked Ovarense (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Boa Viagem will play against GDESSA (#3) in Barreiro.

GDESSA - Lousada 87-57

Very predictable result in Barreiro where second ranked GDESSA (12-3) smashed 9th ranked Lousada (3-11) 87-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. GDESSA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 Lousada turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Tyeasha Moss (175-90, college: Xavier) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 8 rebounds and guard Laura Ferreira (177-95) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. GDESSA's coach Nuno Manaia felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Christina Dewitt (188-87, college: N.Carolina, agency: Gamble Sports Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 23 rebounds and forward Francisca Braga (180-90) scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. GDESSA keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Alges and Lombos Quinta. Lousada lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Montijobanda - CDTorres N. 60-70

Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Montijobanda (3-12) was defeated at home by eighth ranked CDTorres N. (6-10) 70-60 on Saturday. CDTorres N. maintains eighth position with 6-10 record. Montijobanda lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. CDTorres N. will face higher ranked Olivais (#5) in Coimbra in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Montijobanda will play on the road against AD Vagos (#6).

Round 15
Ovarense - Montijobanda 55-89

The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Montijobanda's (3-12) road victory over bottom-ranked Ovarense (0-14) 89-55 on Sunday. Montijobanda moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Academico FC. Ovarense at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Montijobanda will face higher ranked AD Vagos (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Ovarense will play against the league's second-placed Alges (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.

Round 18
Montijobanda - CAB Madeira 57-70

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Montijobanda (3-12) was defeated at home by fourth ranked CAB Madeira (11-3) 70-57 on Wednesday. CAB Madeira have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-3 record. Montijobanda lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with 12 games lost. CAB Madeira will face league's leader Lombos Quinta in Carcavelos in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Montijobanda will play on the road against AD Vagos (#6).

Round 6
Lombos Quinta - CAB Madeira 72-78

There was a small surprise in Carcavelos where fourth ranked CAB Madeira (11-3) won against 4th ranked Lombos Quinta (12-3) 78-72 on Thursday. CAB Madeira forced 20 Lombos Quinta turnovers. Strangely Lombos Quinta outrebounded CAB Madeira 38-26 including 28 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jheri Booker (183, college: Tennessee St.) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman Carmen Reynolds (182-90, college: Michigan) who added 17 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four CAB Madeira players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Senegalese Felicite Mendes (170-91) responded with 26 points and 6 rebounds and Marcia Costa scored 26 points and 5 rebounds.
