Loncovic
Talented Montenegrin Marko Loncovic (200-F-91) had a great game in the last round for Barcelos and that's him to receive a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 14.
The 21-year old forward had a double-double of 27 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team beat Galitos-Tley (#11, 2-11) 90-75. Barcelos maintains the 7th position in Portuguese LPB. Barcelos is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-7 record. In the team's last game Loncovic had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be Barcelos' top player in his first season with the team. Loncovic has impressive league stats. He is league's best scorer averaging so far 20.5ppg. Loncovic is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.5rpg) and averages solid 2.3spg and 59.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 34-year old Cape Verdean center Elvis Evora (205-C-78) of league's best team Benfica. Evora impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he lead Benfica to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Alges (#10, 2-11) 99-51. Of course Benfica still keep 's top spot. His team belongs to top of the standings with 11-1 record and is considered one of the main candidates for the league title. Evora is one of the most experienced players at Benfica and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Barcelos' star - international guard Nuno Oliveira (186-PG-89). Oliveira showcased his all-around game by recording 18 points, six rebounds and six assists in the last round. He was another key player of Barcelos, helping his team with a 90-75 easy win against the lower-ranked Galitos-Tley (#11, 2-11). The chances of Barcelos ranking at the top of , however are very questionable as they have already lost 7 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Oliveira could help Barcelos to bring them higher in the standings. Oliveira has a great season in Portugal. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (6th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Arnette Hallman (199-F-88) of Academica - 17 points and 10 rebounds
5. Pedro Pinto (188-PG-88) of Galitos-Tley - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Heshimu Evans (198-F-75) of Benfica - 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
7. Ivan Almeida (198-G-89) of Vitoria SC - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Charlie Swiggett (185-G-86) of Vitoria SC - 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Jose Ferreira (198-C-78) of Galitos-Tley - 18 points and 3 rebounds
10. Joao Gomes (201-SG-85) of Benfica - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
