Terceira Basket Club celebrate Antonio Pratas Trophy as they edged Vasco Da Gama 69-53 in the Final game. Terceira Basket Club took an early lead and enjoyed a 14-9 at the end of the first period. Moreover they added a 16-6 surge in the second frame for a 15-point half-time advantage. Terceira dominated also the third period and increased the lead to 25 points, while Vasco Da Gama replied with a 20-11 rally in the last stanza to reduce the gap to the final score. Fernando Ferreira (198-F-94) led the way with 16 points and Luis Felipe Tomassi (175-G-92) added 15. Miguel Toreia (180-PG-93) answered with 13 points in a loss and Pedro Tavares (182-PG-83) delivered 11.

FC Porto (LPB) signed 25-year old American forward Will Sheehey (201-91kg-92, college: Indiana). He played last season at Raptors 905 Missisauga (NBA G League) in the U.S. In 38 games he had 10.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.0apg and 1.3spg. He won D-League championship title. The previous (15-16) season Sheehey played at SO Maritime Boulogne in French ProB where in 26 games he recorded 10.1ppg, 3.8rpg and 1.1apg. Ovarense Dolce Vita (LPB) re-signed 28-year old former international power forward Cristovao Cordeiro (202-89). He has played there for the last six seasons. In 6 LPB games he recorded 3.2ppg and 1.2rpg last season. Cordeiro's team made it to the Portuguese final. Defending champion Sport Lisboa Benfica (LPB) tabbed 28-year old international swingman Jose Silva (194-89). He has played for the last two years at FC Porto in the LPB. In 41 LPB games he averaged 11.7ppg, 3.2rpg and 2.0apg. He helped them to win the Supercup and make to league final.
