There were just three rounds played in Second Stage of Proliga and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Estoril Basket (1-1) in Porto on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Dragon Force (3-0) 81-64. Dragon Force made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. It was a good game for guard Pedro Figueiredo (188-94) who led his team to a victory with 16 points. Cape Verdean center Kevin Clay Gomes (209-95) contributed with 8 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Forward Sergio Lugo Santos (198-92) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds for Estoril Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragon Force is looking forward to face Benfica B (#7) in Lisboa in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Estoril Basket will play against Academico FC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Barreirense (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed Vasco (0-3) in Barreiro 80-56. It was a great evening for forward Filipe Pinheiro (190-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 5 rebounds. Antonio Pires helped adding 17 points. The best for the losing side was guard Guilherme Sequeira (190-95) with 17 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Barreirense will play against Terceira (#3) in Angra Heroismo in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vasco will play on the road against Esgueira / Oli (#6) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
A very close game took place in Lisboa between Sangalhos and Belenenses CF. Sangalhos (2-1) got a very close victory on the road over Belenenses CF (2-1). Sangalhos managed to escape with a 3-point win 52-49 in the fight for the eleventh place. It was an exceptional evening for Francisco Mota who led the winners and scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. There were no big surprises in other games of round 3:
In Places 1-8 Esgueira beat Academico FC on the road 65-60. Terceira won against Benfica B on its own court 70-57.
In Places 9-16 winless Fisica unfortunately lost to Guifoes in a road game 65-71. Ginasio rolled over Academia at home 82-50. Winless Sanjoanense lost to undefeated Angra on the opponent's court 79-87.
