The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Dragon Force (4-1) in Porto on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Barreirense (5-1) 77-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Dragon Force. It was a key game for the top position in Places 1-8. It was a good game for the former international guard Antonio Pires (185-86) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Filipe Pinheiro (190-90) contributed with 19 points and 4 steals for the winners. Center Pedro Oliveira (204-0) replied with 16 points and 6 assists for Dragon Force. Barreirense keeps a position of Places 1-8 leader. Dragon Force at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They share the position with Terceira and Estoril Basket. Barreirense are looking forward to face Estoril Basket (#4) at home in the next round. Dragon Force will play against Academico FC and is hoping to win this game.
Bottom-ranked Academia is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fifth consecutive match to fourteenth ranked Sanjoanense (3-3) 78-54. Forward Pedro Azevedo (193-81) scored 36 points (!!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Elias Desport chipped in 15 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Ba Cassama (195-85) with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sanjoanense have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place in Places 9-16, which they share with 3 other teams. Academia at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost. Sanjoanense will play against Fisica (#11) in Torres Vedras in the next round. Academia will play at home against Angrabasket (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Academico FC will play against the league's second-placed Dragon Force and hope to win that game.
A very interesting game took place in Sangalhos. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 10th ranked Sangalhos (3-2) to thirteenth ranked Fisica (3-3) 69-68 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sangalhos. The best player for the winners was Carlos Dias who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Fisica have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place in Places 9-16, which they share with 3 other teams. Sangalhos at the other side keep the tenth position with two games lost. Fisica's next round opponent will be Sanjoanense (#12).

There were no big surprises in other games of round 6:
In Places 1-8 Esgueira was beaten by Estoril Basket on the road 59-50. Benfica B destroyed Vasco on its own court 75-55.
In Places 9-16 Guifoes lost to undefeated Angra in a road game 88-94. Belenenses CF managed to beat Ginasio at home 70-65.

Academico FC - Terceira 66-70

However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory.
