Mohamed
Camara
Forward Mohamed Camara (196-F-83) put on an amazing game in the last round for Terceira, receiving a Eurobasket.com Proliga Player of the Week award for round 7 (Second Stage).
The 33-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Vasco (#7, 1-6) 78-74. Terceira maintains the 3rd position in Portuguese Proliga. They are still close to the very top. Terceira would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 5-1 record. Camara turned to be Terceira's top player in his first season with the team. Mohamed Camara has solid league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (6th best: 9.6rpg) and averages impressive 62.2% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 32-year old Carlos Tavares (194-F-84) of Academia. Tavares had a very good evening with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds. Bad luck as Academia lost that game 73-85 to league's leader Angra (#9, 7-0). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Academia is still at the dead bottom 16th position. 6 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Tavares is one of the most experienced players at Academia and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Deshaunt Walker (180-PG-91) of Places 9-16 top team Angra. Walker got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Angra, leading his team to a 85-73 win against Academia (#16, 0-6). Angra have amazing season winning all 7 games without a single defeat. Walker turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Walker has a great season in Portugal. After 21 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 22.2ppg (2nd best). He also has 2.4spg and FGP: 51.3%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
