Here is the weekly review of the top performing Romanian players, who play currently abroad.

Gabriela Marginean
Gabriela Marginean
#1. This week's number one is an international forward Gabriela Marginean (182-87, college: Drexel), who plays in the French LFB. She could not help Arras (9-16) in their last game. Despite Marginean's good performance Arras was badly defeated 75-59 at home by the much higher-ranked (#4) Mondeville. She was the second best scorer with 11 points in 33 minutes on the court. It was Arras' fourth consecutive loss in a row. Marginean's team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And that game will be critical. Marginean has relatively good stats this year: 12.4ppg, 3.7rpg, 2FGP: 42.1%, 3FGP: 26.5% and FT: 81.1% in the 25 games she played so far. She is currently a member of the Romanian senior national team.

Ana-Maria Cata-Chitiga
Ana-Maria Cata-Chitiga
#2. Second place goes to an international center Ana-Maria Cata-Chitiga (195-89). Cata-Chitiga was not able to help Tarbes (13-12) in their game against Challes-les-Eaux (19-6) in the French LFB. She was the second best scorer with 8 points. Cata-Chitiga also added 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Tarbes was crushed 75-48 on the road by the higher-ranked Challes-les-Eaux (#3). Her team will play only one more game in the Regular Season. And now that game is very crucial. Cata-Chitiga belongs to league's best blockers and is ranked #4. She has very reliable stats this season: 11.3ppg, 6.1rpg, 2FGP: 52.5% and FT: 85.7%. Cata-Chitiga has a dual citizenship: Romanian and French. Despite she played previously for the French national team, Cata-Chitiga is currently a member of the Romanian senior national team.

Simina Mandache
Simina Mandache
#3. The Romanian player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Simina Mandache (185-81), who plays in the Italian A1. She was not able to secure a victory for Alcamo (3-19) in their last game. Despite Mandache's very good performance the bottom-ranked Alcamo lost 69-81 on the opponent's court to the higher-ranked (#9) Pall.Pozzuoli. She was the second best scorer with 16 points. Mandache also added 6 rebounds in 36 minutes. It was Alcamo's fourth consecutive loss in a row. This year Mandache has relatively solid stats: 10.1ppg, 4.6rpg, 1.1spg, 2FGP: 39.9%, 3FGP: 26.9% and FT: 79.6% in the 22 games. Despite she played previously for the French national team, Mandache played also for the Romanian national team in 2010.

Center Elisabeth Pavel (192-90) was the major contributor in a Napoli S.Dike's victory against the 13th-ranked Viterbo (5-19) crushing them 89-56 in the Italian A2 (12th division) in Saturday night's game. She scored 16 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Saces Dike Napoli (10-13) is placed eighth in South group. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be important. Pavel is ranked fifth on the list of the best rebounders in the league. This season she has very good stats: 14.6ppg, 10.1rpg and 2.0spg.
