The hosts trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 18-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Serbian power forward Vladimir Tica (208-81, agency: BeoExcell) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. American guard Darius Hargrove (193-82, college: Virginia Union, agency: Strategic Sports) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Ploiesti players scored in double figures.
