U-Mobitelco was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 45-35 second half run of Targu Mures. U-Mobitelco was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American guard Calvin Watson (197-85, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 26 points and 4 assists. The former international power forward Virgil Stanescu (208-77, college: S.Alabama, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 16 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds (went 11 for 11 at the free throw line !!!) and American forward David Lawrence (200-85, college: Charleston, agency: TSS Management) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Ploiesti dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Oradea's 32.
