Targu Mures trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 25-14 run in the last quarter tied the game at the end of regular time, But then they lost eventually overtime period 11-16. U-Mobitelco made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Targu Mures outrebounded U-Mobitelco 40-28 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American Kyndall Dykes (190-87, college: New Orleans, agency: Edge Sports) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Serbian center Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Dykes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four U-Mobitelco players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Virgil Stanescu (208-77, college: S.Alabama, agency: Interperformances) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 rebounds and American guard Calvin Watson (197-85, college: N.Texas, agency: Court Side) added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Targu Mures.

The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But CSM Bucuresti won third quarter 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BCM U Pitesti (Liga Nationala) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old American guard Nick Russell (193-95kg-91, college: SMU). He played most recently at Apollon Patras in Greek A1 league, but left the team in Feb.'17. In 15 games he recorded 7.7ppg, 3.1rpg and 1.8apg last season.
