The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Satu Mare as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Satu Mare defeated 8th ranked Craiova at home 76-71. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Craiova won fourth quarter 24-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satu Mare forced 21 Craiova turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Italee Lucas (172-89, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Her fellow American import forward Utahya Drye (185-88, college: Virginia Tech) contributed with 8 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Satu Mare's coach Dan Fleseriu used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Serbian guard Marija Prlja (163-87) answered with 20 points and 7 assists for Craiova. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Craiova at the other side keeps the eighth place with four games lost. Craiova will play next round against Sf.Gheorghe trying to get back on the winning streak. Satu Mare will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked ICIM Arad at home.
Undefeated CSM Targoviste (6-1) recorded its first loss on the court of leader ICIM Arad. Visitors were defeated by ICIM Arad 69-60. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of CSM Targoviste. It was a great evening for American forward Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of her seven free throws). Jennifer Risper helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. At the losing side Russian-Kazakhstan power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Undefeated ICIM Arad (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row behind leader Satu Mare. Defending champion CSM Targoviste keeps the third position with one game lost. ICIM Arad will play against league's leader Satu Mare on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. CSM Targoviste will play against Brasov and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Oradea is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their seventh consecutive match to sixth ranked Alba Iulia (4-3) 78-33 on Saturday evening. It was an exceptional evening for Rebecca Tobin who led the winners and scored 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 blocks. Alba Iulia's coach Tomas Bilek felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Carla Tigan came up with 6 points and 7 rebounds for Oradea in the defeat. Alba Iulia maintains sixth place with 4-3 record. Oradea lost their sixth game in a row. They still closes the standings with seven games lost. Alba Iulia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oradea will play against Sp.Studentesc (#14) in Bucuresti and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Other games in round 7 were not that significant. Sp.Studentesc was smashed by Brasov on the road 71-50. Timisoara destroyed Cluj Napoca on its own court 77-51. Sf.Gheorghe outscored Rapid in Sfantu Gheorghe 103-61. Olimpia was rolled over Alexandria at home 53-91.

The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Brasov's (3-5) home victory over 13th ranked Sp.Studentesc (1-6) 71-50 on Saturday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Brasov forced 20 Sp.Studentesc turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brasov made 7 blocks. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Brittany Mingo (175-87, college: W.Virginia St.) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Her fellow American import forward Melani Thornton (185-88, college: Butler) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. Four Brasov players scored in double figures. Brasov's coach Daniel Calancea felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Taisia Lungu (182-89) came up with 12 points and Serbian guard Marina Ristic (168-87) added 6 points respectively for Sp.Studentesc in the defeat. Brasov moved-up to ninth place. Sp.Studentesc lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with six games lost. They share it with Olimpia. Brasov will meet higher ranked CSM Targoviste (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sp.Studentesc will play against Oradea (#15) in Oradea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very expected game when 9th ranked Cluj Napoca (2-4) was smashed on the road by fourth ranked Timisoara (5-1) 77-51 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-51. Timisoara dominated on the defensive end, holding Cluj Napoca to just 4 points in third quarter. They also forced 39 Cluj Napoca turnovers. Strangely Cluj Napoca outrebounded Timisoara 36-21 including a 28-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 8 steals. Forward Marta Fodor (183-91) accounted for 15 points for the winning side. Forward Flavia Ferenczi (175-91) came up with 15 points and center Kata Meszaros (190-90) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Cluj Napoca in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Timisoara maintains fourth place with 5-1 record. Very predictable result when fifth ranked Sf.Gheorghe (4-2) rolled over 10th ranked Rapid (2-4) in Bucuresti 103-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sf.Gheorghe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Rapid's 38. They outrebounded Rapid 36-19 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for Serbian guard Milica Ivanovic (175-88, college: Catawba, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners and scored 35 points (!!!). American power forward Mekia Valentine (193-88, college: UCSB, agency: Merit Sports) accounted for 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winning side. American Swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-G/F-92) had a very impressive game in the last round for top-ranked Sf.Gheorghe, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10. The 24-year old player was the main contributor (29 points, seven rebounds and two assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Alexandria (#8, 2-8) with 26-point margin 80-54. The most exciting game of round 10 in the Liga Nationala took place in Satu Mare. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Brasov (7-3) to seventh ranked Satu Mare (4-6) 73-71 on Saturday evening.
