Bottom-ranked Oradea (0-8) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their eighth consecutive match to fourteenth ranked Sp.Studentesc (2-6) 86-55 on Saturday evening. The game without a history. Sp.Studentesc led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Oradea's 32 and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game, while Oradea only scored eight points from the stripe. Sp.Studentesc forced 26 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 45-13 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Oradea helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of Bosnian center Emina Demirovic (186-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and American guard Brandie Hoskins (175-85) who added 28 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Ruxandra Chis (176-93) responded with 10 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sp.Studentesc moved-up to thirteenth place. Oradea at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Sp.Studentesc will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oradea will play at home against CSM Targoviste (#3) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
The game in Craiova supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Sf.Gheorghe (5-2) played at the court of 8th ranked Craiova (3-5). Sf.Gheorghe defeated Craiova 80-64. The winners were led by Hungarian center Judit Kajdacsi (192-79, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and Jasmin Bailey supported her with 19 points and 5 steals. Even 20 points and 6 rebounds by Serbian center Zorica Mitov (189-87) did not help to save the game for Craiova. Sf.Gheorghe have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 5-2 record. Craiova at the other side dropped to the ninth place with five games lost. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Alexandria (#7) at home in the next round. Craiova will play against the league's second-placed ICIM Arad and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Twelfth-ranked Targu Mures (2-5) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Timisoara (6-1) on Saturday. Timisoara managed to secure only three-point victory 69-66. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Targu Mures. The best player for the winners was Biljana Pesovic who scored 24 points. Tarkeisha Wysinger-Mackey produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. Timisoara maintains fourth position with 6-1 record. Loser Targu Mures dropped to the eighth place with five games lost. They share the position with Rapid. Timisoara will meet at home Alba Iulia (#6) in the next round. Targu Mures will play against Olimpia in Bucuresti and hope to secure a win.

Ashley Arlen orchestrated the victory by scoring 15 points and 9 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alexandria have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Alba Iulia. Rapid lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Alexandria's next round opponent will be higher ranked Sf.Gheorghe (#5) in Sfantu Gheorghe and it may be quite challenging game. Rapid will play at home against Cluj Napoca.

In the last game of round 8 Brasov was destroyed by Targoviste on the opponent's court 77-42.
