He was the major contributor in a Yesilgiresun Bld's victory against the closely-ranked Tofas (6-8) 84-79 in the Turkish BSL in Saturday night's game.
Armstead scored 15 points and added 5 passes in 44 minutes on the court.
Yesilgiresun Belediye (7-7) is placed eighth in the BSL.
It's Armstead's first season with the team.
He has relatively good stats this year: 11.9ppg, 2.9rpg, 5.2apg, 1.6spg, 2FGP: 47.1%, 3FGP: 30.3% and FT: 76.9% in 14 games he played so far.
Armstead is a naturalized American.
He is currently a member of the Romanian senior national team. Strangely Armstead has never played in Romania.
#2. Second place goes to an international center Alexandru Olah (213-93, college: Northwestern, currently plays in Belgium). He could not help Belfius Mons-Hainaut (7-7) to beat Leuven Bears (4-10).
Olah scored 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.
Belfius Mons-Hainaut was edged 82-79 on the road by the one of league's weakest teams Leuven Bears (#9).
This season Olah has relatively solid stats: 11.9ppg, 5.1rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 50.4%, 3FGP: 22.2% and FT: 88.1%.
He is in the roster of the Romanian senior national team.
#3. The Romanian player who performed third best last week abroad was former U18 international power forward Rares Uta (211-97, currently plays in Spain). Uta was not able to help one of league's weakest teams CB Granada in their game against Fontedoso Carrefour (12-5) in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division).
He recorded 5 points in 16 minutes.
CB Granada was edged 73-72 in Avila by the leading Fontedoso Carrefour.
They ended the series of three consecutive victories.
This year Uta averages: 6.0ppg, 4.6rpg, 2FGP: 55.6%(40-72) and FT: 59.3% in 16 games.
He played for the Romanian U18 national team two years ago.
#4. Forward Vlad Cobzaru (203-95, currently plays in NCAA2) managed to help Augusta University to win against the Clayton College & State University 83-73 in the NCAA2 on Monday night.
Cobzaru scored only 3 points.

#5. Former U20 international guard Vlad Stoicoviciu (196-94, currently plays in NAIA) was not able to secure a victory for the Jamestown College (4-0) in their game against the Bellevue University (3-1) in the NStar. Stoicoviciu cannot count it as his best performance.
He scored only 3 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 15 minutes. It was his first game for Jamestown College this season.
The Jamestown College was edged 74-73 in Bellevue, NE by the Bellevue University.
Stoicoviciu used to play for the Romanian U20 national team

#1.Victor Osmatescu (201-C-96, currently plays in Italy) contributed to Scauri's victory against the 14th-ranked Roma Vis Nova (4-10) 76-69 in the Italian Serie B (third division) on Sunday night.
Osmatescu scored 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 23 minutes.
Basket Scauri (7-8) is placed eighth in Group C.
This year Osmatescu averages: 6.3ppg and 3.8rpg in 15 games he played so far.
He has a dual citizenship: Romanian and Italian.
#2. Experienced Alexei Andrus (195-G/F-79, currently plays in Germany) could not help Zwickau (4-10) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Andrus' good performance the 11th-placed Zwickau (4-10) was crushed 107-86 at home by the higher-ranked TSV Troester (#5) in the South-East group.
He scored 11 points, had 8 rebounds and dished 8 assists.
Andrus is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his fourth year in Zwickau's roster.
Andrus has reliable stats this season: 10.6ppg, 4.5rpg and 2.4apg.
He is another player who holds two passports: Romanian and Moldovan.
#3.Jonhatan Nir (204-F-86, currently plays in Israel) led Hapoel Ramat Gan Givataim to a victory against the 12th-ranked Galil Elion (5-9) 81-70 in the Israeli National League (second division) last Tuesday.
He scored 16 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished 3 assists.
Hapoel Ramat Gan Givataim (9-5) is placed third in the National League.
Nir's overall stats this season are: 9.8ppg, 4.9rpg and 1.4apg.
He has both Romanian and Israeli nationalities.
#4.Yaniv Solomon (201-SF-94, currently plays in Israel) is a teammate of previously mentioned Jonhatan Nir and both played together in the last Israeli National League game.
Solomon contributed to a Hapoel Ramat Gan Givataim's victory against the 12th-ranked Galil Elion (5-9) 81-70.
He had a double-double by scoring 18 points and getting 10 rebounds in 35 minutes.
Solomon has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.9apg and 1.6spg in 14 games.
Solomon also holds two passports: Israeli and Romanian.
Despite his Romanian nationality, Solomon previously played for the Israeli U18 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Romanian team.
