The game with biggest result difference took place in Timisoara. Local Timisoara (7-1) beat 6th ranked Alba Iulia (4-4) 76-58 on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Alba Iulia. The game without a history. Timisoara led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Timisoara forced 27 Alba Iulia turnovers. Strangely Alba Iulia outrebounded Timisoara 49-24 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) who scored 34 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Rebecca Tobin (195-88, college: Arizona St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. Alba Iulia's coach Tomas Bilek rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Timisoara moved-up to third place, which they share with Targoviste. Alba Iulia at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Alexandria. Timisoara is looking forward to face Sp.Studentesc (#13) in Bucuresti in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alba Iulia will play at home against Olimpia (#14) in Bucuresti and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.

Other games of round 9 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Alexandria was defeated by Sf.Gheorghe in Sfantu Gheorghe 66-53. Rapid beat Cluj Napoca at home 74-62. Targu Mures won against Olimpia on the opponent's court 70-64.



Sf.Gheorghe - Alexandria 66-53

There was no surprise in Sfantu Gheorghe where 7th ranked Alexandria (4-4) was defeated by fifth ranked Sf.Gheorghe (6-2) 66-53 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Sf.Gheorghe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Sf.Gheorghe outrebounded Alexandria 46-26 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was power forward Mekia Valentine (193-88, college: UCSB, agency: Merit Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 17 rebounds. Guard Jence Rhoads (180-88, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Ashley Arlen (187-90, college: Wayne St., NE, agency: Gamble Sports Management) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Shanita Arnold (165-89, college: Arizona, agency: Gamble Sports Management) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Sf.Gheorghe have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-2 record. Alexandria at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Alba Iulia. Sf.Gheorghe are looking forward to face Cluj Napoca (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alexandria will play against Craiova (#8) in Craiova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Rapid - Cluj Napoca 74-62

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Bucuresti where twelfth ranked Rapid (3-5) defeated 11th ranked Cluj Napoca (2-5) 74-62 on Wednesday. The game was mostly controlled by Rapid. Cluj Napoca managed to win fourth quarter 16-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 25-of-31 free shots (80.6 percent) during the game, while Cluj Napoca only scored six points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Cluj Napoca helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was power forward Raluca Ungureanu (180-80) who scored 22 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Moldovan guard Natalia Burlakova (175-84) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was forward Flavia Ferenczi (175-91) who recorded 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and center Adriana Pricop (181-74) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Cluj Napoca's coach Florin Covaciu rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Rapid moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Craiova and Targu Mures. Cluj Napoca at the other side dropped to the twelfth position with five games lost. Rapid is looking forward to face Targu Mures (#9) on the road in the next round. Cluj Napoca will play against Sf.Gheorghe in Sfantu Gheorghe and is hoping to win this game.

Very expected game in Bucuresti where 14th ranked Olimpia (1-7) was defeated by eighth ranked Targu Mures (3-5) 70-64 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 70-64. Targu Mures forced 19 Olimpia turnovers and had a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Danielle Walker (178-86, college: Clark Atlanta) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Her fellow American import power forward Chantel Hilliard (187-90, college: Auburn) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Tunde Kilin (171-91) who recorded 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Alexandra Dumitrache (170-94) added 18 points respectively. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Targu Mures maintains eighth place with 3-5 record, which they share with Rapid and Craiova. Olimpia lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with seven games lost. Targu Mures is looking forward to face Rapid (#10) in Bucuresti in the next round. BC Univ. Goldis ICIM Arad (Liga Nationala) strengthened their roster with addition of 22-year old American center Aignee Freeland (191-94). Freeland has only college experience so far playing last time for Edinboro (NCAA2). She has played there for the last five years. In 30 games she recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 7.9rpg and 1.5apg in 2014-15 season. Great year indeed as she was voted to All-PSAC West 1st Team. PEAC-Pecs add Demeter to their roster, ex ICIM Arad - 5 days ago

PEAC-Pecs (A Division) added to their roster 18-year old Romanian center Nora Demeter (187-98). She played most recently at the junior team of ICIM Arad in Romanian Liga Nationala.
Demeter's team made it to the B League Semifinals in 2011.
She represented Romania at the European Championships U16 Division B in Tallin (Estonia) four years ago. Her stats at that event were 3 games: 2
