American guard Brandie Hoskins (175-G-85) had an amazing evening in the last round for Sp.Studentesc, receiving a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, four rebounds and four assists) to her team's victory, helping them to outclass Olimpia (#14, 1-10) with 43-point margin 87-44. Sp.Studentesc is placed at 8th position in Romanian Division A. Sp.Studentesc is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Hoskins had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. She turned to be Sp.Studentesc's top player in her first season with the team. Brandie Hoskins has solid league stats. She is in league's top in points (2nd best: 19.0ppg) and averages impressive 60.0% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 25-year old American Amanda Thompson (183-F-87) of Alba Iulia. Thompson had a very good evening with 19 points and 9 rebounds. Of course she lead Alba Iulia to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Rapid (#11, 3-7) 93-44. This victory allowed Alba Iulia to move up to 6th position in . Her team lost some distance to top teams. But 6-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Thompson is a newcomer at Alba Iulia, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was former international center Gabriela Toma (192-C-74) of Craiova (#10). Toma scored 21 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of Craiova, leading her team to a 55-47 win against the lower-ranked Brasov (#13, 3-8). The chances of Craiova not to end season at such low position in , however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just four victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Toma could try to bring Craiova's a little bit higher in the standings. Toma has a very solid season. In 10 games in Romania she scored 10.4ppg. She also has 7.3rpg, 1.6bpg and FGP: 53.2%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Emina Demirovic (186-C-85) of Sp.Studentesc - 17 points and 18 rebounds
5. Carla Bartee (182-F-85) of ICIM Arad - 11 points and 16 rebounds
6. Chrissy Givens (180-F-85) of ICIM Arad - 31 points and 6 rebounds
7. Chrissy Givens (180-F-85) of ICIM Arad - 22 points and 8 rebounds
8. Chrissy Givens (180-F-85) of ICIM Arad - 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Georgiana Rus (189-F-87) of Alexandria - 19 points and 8 rebounds
10. Jence Rhoads (180-G-88) of Sf.Gheorghe - 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists

The Player of the week is choosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
