The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Satu Mare as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Satu Mare smashed 5th ranked Timisoara at home 93-63. The game without a history. Satu Mare led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Satu Mare outrebounded Timisoara 46-22 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Shanika Freeman (186-83, college: Jacksonville St.) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian center Dara Kovacevic (197-83) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. Satu Mare's coach Dan Fleseriu felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) who recorded 18 points and 5 rebounds. Satu Mare have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with ICIM Arad. Timisoara lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Alexandria and Alba Iulia. Timisoara will play next round against strong ICIM Arad trying to get back on the winning streak. Satu Mare will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Leader ICIM Arad delivered the eleventh victory. This time they crushed 13th ranked Rapid (3-9) 89-39. It was a good game for Serbian forward Suzana Milovanovic (185-79, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Adela Mercea contributed with 11 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Claudia Ene (178-88) replied with 15 points and 4 steals for Rapid. ICIM Arad maintains first position with 11-1 record, which they share with Satu Mare. Rapid lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with nine games lost. ICIM Arad will play against Timisoara (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Rapid will play against CSM Targoviste (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
Bottom-ranked Oradea (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-44 loss to eleventh ranked Brasov (4-8) in Brasov on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Cristina Grama who helped to win the game recording 13 points. The best for the losing side was Alexandra Vlaicu with 16 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Brasov maintains eleventh position with 4-8 record. Oradea at the other side still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Brasov will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Oradea will play against Craiova (#9) in Craiova and hopes to get finally their first victory.

CSM Targoviste's next round opponent will be Rapid (#13) in Bucuresti and are hoping to win another game. Oradea will play at home against Craiova in Craiova and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
The game in Alba Iulia was also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers Sf.Gheorghe (8-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Alba Iulia (7-4). Alba Iulia managed to secure a 6-point victory 68-62 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Sf.Gheorghe. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was Amanda Thompson who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 18 rebounds. Alba Iulia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Alexandria and Timisoara. Loser Sf.Gheorghe keeps the fourth position with three games lost. Alba Iulia will face Alexandria (#5) on the road in the next round. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Sp.Studentesc in Bucuresti.

Rest of the games of round 12 were quite predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Cluj Napoca were crushed by Craiova in Craiova 79-32. Targoviste smashed Olimpia at home 116-24. Rapid was destroyed by Sp.Studentesc on the opponent's court 77-47. Targu Mures unfortunately lost to Alexandria in a home game 49-64.
The best stats of 12th round was 19 points and 6 rebounds by Natalie Novosel of Targoviste.


Brasov - Oradea 77-44

Bottom-ranked Oradea (0-12) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 77-44 loss to eleventh ranked Brasov (4-8) in Brasov on Sunday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Brasov. Oradea managed to win third quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Brasov dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Oradea's 18. Brasov forced 30 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Brasov made 7 blocks. 34-year old forward Monique Coker (185-F-82) had a very impressive game in the last round for Targoviste and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 15. She had a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds, while her team beat Sirius TgM (#9, 3-12) 78-68. Targoviste maintains the 3rd position in Romanian Liga Nationala.
