Municipal Targoviste scored 20 points in the first and the second frames. It was enough to take 40:30 halftime advantage when v sent the teams to the lockers. The Romanian team kept the 10-point deficit for the whole third period, while Radoslava Bachvarova (183-F-87, agency: LBM Management, college: VCU) scored 10 points in a row fro her team and reduced to 59:53 after 30 minutes. Moreover Carmona and again Radoslava Bachvarova cut it to 60:58 early in the last stanza and Ines Ajanovic (195-F-80, agency: LBM Management) scored for 66:64. Only due to Gabriela Marginean (182-F-87, college: Drexel)s last 4 points the Romanian team climbed up to the second place in the group to share it with Nadezhda. Gabriela Marginean again top-scored for the winners with 19 points, while Monique Currie (183-G/F-83, college: Duke) and Milka Bjelica (193-F-81, agency: LBM Management) nailed 17 points each. Radoslava Bachvarova answered with 22 points in the losing effort and Ines Ajanovic had 11. Sandra Dijon (193-C-79) delivered 10, while Dawn Evans (170-PG-89, agency: LBM Management, college: JMU) notched 8.

Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Romanians who are currently playing abroad. This week's number one is an international power forward Ashley Walker (187-87). She could not help one of league's weakest teams Venezia (17-5) in their last game. Despite Walker's good performance Venezia was badly defeated 65-48 at home by the higher-ranked (#3) Lucca.
She was the top scorer with 14 points. Walker also added 7 rebounds and made 3 blocks in 39 minutes on the court.
Walker has relatively good stats this year: 13.3ppg, 6.9rpg, 1.2apg, 2.8spg, 2FGP: 48.4%, 3FGP: 31.6% and FT: 79.0% in 27 games she played so far.
She is a naturalized American.
Walker is currently a member of the Romanian senior national team. She used to play for CSM Targoviste in Romanian league.
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Claudia Pop (182-89, agency: ProDep Management, currently plays in Poland). Pop contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Sleza Wroclaw (18-4) crushing them 86-56 in the Polish TBLK last Saturday.
She scored 9 points.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. TS Wisla Can-Pack Krakow (18-4) is placed second in the TBLK.
This season Pop averages: 4.6ppg, 2.3rpg, 2FGP: 54.9%, 3FGP: 18.2%.
She is in the roster of the Romanian senior national team.
#3. The Romanian player who performed third best last week abroad was an international forward Gabriela Marginean (182-87, agency: LBM Management, college: Drexel, currently plays in Spain). Marginean was not able to help Perfumerias Avenida in their game against Argon Uni Girona (21-5) in the Spanish LFB.
She scored only 4 points in 10 minutes.
The league leader Perfumerias Avenida lost 75-79 on the road to the second-ranked Argon Uni Girona.
This year Marginean's overall stats are: 6.1ppg, 1.8rpg, 2FGP: 51.1%, 3FGP: 25.3% and FT: 96.7%(29-30) in 29 games.
Ex-CSM Targoviste player is also a member of the Romanian senior national team.
#4. Power forward Ecaterina Armanu (177-98, currently plays in United Kingdom) contributed to a 2-point Crusaders' victory against the fifth-ranked Hatters (11-7) 72-70 in the British WBBL last Sunday.
She scored 9 points in 20 minutes.
Barking Abbey Crusaders (14-0) is placed first in the WBBL.
So far her team won all fourteen games in the Regular Season.
