24-year old guard Jence Rhoads (180-G-88) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Sf.Gheorghe and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 13. She got a double-double of 19 points and 11 assists, while her team outclassed Sp.Studentesc (#9, 5-7) with 36-point margin 91-55. Sf.Gheorghe maintains the 4th position in Romanian Division A. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Sf.Gheorghe will need more victories to improve their 9-3 record. Rhoads turned to be Sf.Gheorghe's top player in her first season with the team. Vanderbilt University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Rhoads is in league's top in assists (2nd best: 5.2apg) and averages solid 2.4spg.
Second best performed player last round was Jasmin Bailey (172-G/F-90). She is American swingman in her first season at Sf.Gheorghe. In the last game Bailey recorded impressive 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course together with Rhoads she helped Sf.Gheorghe with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Sp.Studentesc (#9, 5-7) 91-55. Sf.Gheorghe's 4th position in the standings has not changed. Her team's 9-3 record is not bad at all. Bailey is a newcomer at Sf.Gheorghe and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. She belongs to the best scorers in the league with 17.5ppg (#4). She also registered 8.1 boards per game.
Third place about best performers goes to forward Chrissy Givens (180-F-85) of league's leader ICIM Arad. Givens scored 22 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). She was a key player of ICIM Arad, leading her team to a 67-50 easy win against the lower-ranked Timisoara (#7, 7-5). Many experts and fans count ICIM Arad as a contender for championship title. Another victory and another confirmation that they may be right. Just look at their record: 12 victories and only one lost games. They are currently at the very top of the standings. Givens has a great season in Romania. After 13 games, she made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (3rd best). She also has 2.2spg and FGP: 63.5%.

The season 2012 she started at CSM Targoviste in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 36 games she recorded 14.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg this season. Istanbul Universitesi SK added 26-year old Romanian Gabriela Marginean (182-F-87, college: Drexel) for the next season. The season 2012 she started at CSM Targoviste in Romanian Liga Nationala. In 36 games she recorded 14.1ppg, 3.2rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg this season. Marginean also played 14 games in Euroleague where she averaged impressive 17.3ppg, 3.1rpg, 1.2apg and 1.9spg. The earlier season she played at Arras Pays d'Artois Basket Feminin (LFB) in French league. In 26 games she averaged 12.3ppg, 3.6rpg and 1.1apg. She helped them to win the cup. Marginean also played 10 games in Eurocup where she averaged remarkable 16.9ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.0spg. The previous (10-11) season she played at Panathinaikos (A1) in Greek league. In 26 games she was second best scorer with great 17.0ppg and had 7.3rpg, 1.5apg and 2.2spg that season. She contributed to her team making it to the semifinals. Great season indeed as she was selected Eurobasket.com All-Greek League Bosman Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Bosmans Team. Marginean attended Drexel University until 2010 and it will be her third season in pro basketball. She was voted CAA Player of the Year back in 2009 at her college time.

LBRn point guard Matee Ajavon (170-86, college: Rutgers) answered with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Russian-Kazakhstan power forward Ksenia Tikhonenko (193-93, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 15 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for CSM Targoviste.
