There was no lack of excitement in the last round games. The round ended with extra overtimes and favorites losing the games.

The game between Top Four teams took place in Targoviste. Third ranked host CSM Targoviste (12-1) defeated 4th ranked Sf.Gheorghe (9-4) 80-73. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 27-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Latvian guard Elina Babkina (173-89, agency: LBM Management) scored 17 points and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin forward Milka Bjelica (193-81, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. CSM Targoviste's coach Georgios Dikeoulakos used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Jasmin Bailey (172-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds. CSM Targoviste have an impressive six-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Satu Mare. Sf.Gheorghe at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with Alba Iulia. CSM Targoviste is looking forward to face Alexandria (#6) on the road in the next round. Sf.Gheorghe will play against Satu Mare and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Division A top team - ICIM Arad (13-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Olimpia (1-12) 78-33. Serbian forward Suzana Milovanovic (185-79, agency: LBM Management) notched 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and Adela Mercea supported her with 12 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. ICIM Arad's coach felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 12 points and 9 rebounds by forward Gabriela Munteanu (177-88) did not help to save the game for Olimpia. ICIM Arad have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 13-1 record. Olimpia lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth place with 12 games lost. ICIM Arad will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Olimpia will play at home against Brasov (#9) to get more than just one victory in their record.
Targu Mures (#10) forced the game against Craiova (#8) into an overtime, but lost by ten points 60-70 on Saturday night. The best player for the winners was Gabriela Toma who had a double-double by scoring 20 points, 21 rebounds and 6 blocks. Chantel Hilliard produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds for the guests. Craiova have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain eighth position with 7-7 record. Loser Targu Mures dropped to the ninth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Sp.Studentesc and Brasov. Craiova will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Targu Mures will play against Alba Iulia (#4) and hope to secure a win.

The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Satu Mare have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Targoviste. Rapid lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 11 games lost. Satu Mare will face Sf.Gheorghe (#5) in Sfantu Gheorghe in the next round.

In the last two games of round 14 Alexandria won against Sp.Studentesc on the opponent's court 60-53. Alba Iulia outscored Cluj Napoca in a home game 87-35.



Brasov - Timisoara 53-52

A very interesting game took place in Brasov. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of higher ranked Timisoara (7-6) to eleventh ranked Brasov (5-8) 53-52 on Saturday evening. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Brasov forced 20 Timisoara turnovers. Serbian center Biljana Stjepanovic (189-87) saved the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Melani Thornton (185-88, college: Butler, agency: BBEH Cokrlija) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Biljana Pesovic (180-83) replied with 16 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Tiffany Brown (165-86, college: Georgia South) added 14 points in the effort for Timisoara. Third ranked Satu Mare (12-1) crushed at home 13th ranked Rapid (3-11) by 53 points 105-52, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The game without a history. Satu Mare led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Rapid to just 6 points in first quarter. Satu Mare dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Rapid's 38. Satu Mare forced 22 Rapid turnovers and outrebounded them 49-24 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Rapid's players. Serbian center Dara Kovacevic (197-83) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Italee Lucas (172-89, college: N.Carolina) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Sp.Studentesc was trailing by 13 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 19-11 charge of Alexandria, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 28 Sp.Studentesc turnovers. American forward Ashley Arlen (187-90, college: Wayne St., NE, agency: Gamble Sports Management) had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Georgiana Rus (189-87) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest.
