The fans could enjoy quite many interesting games in the last round. The round ended with favorites losing the games and even winless team recording their first victory.

Round 12 most important game was a victory of U-Mobitelco over 7th ranked Rovinari 80-73 on Monday night. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 41-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for Bulgarian Hristo Nikolov (200-85) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Sean Barnette (198-86, college: Wingate) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Louis Darby (196-84, college: Long Beach St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds for Rovinari. U-Mobitelco (8-4) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Rovinari at the other side dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. They share it with Gaz Metan. U-Mobitelco is looking forward to face Craiova (#7) at home in the next round. Rovinari will play against the league's leader Oradea and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Craiova (8-4) against sixth ranked Ploiesti (8-3) on Sunday night. Host Craiova was crushed by Ploiesti in Craiova 116-92. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Craiova. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Aleksandar Vlahovic (190-90) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 6 assists and Catalin Burlacu who added 16 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Ploiesti's coach Vladimir Arnautovic felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American guard LeVar Seals (195-82, college: De Paul) with 22 points and 4 assists. Ploiesti have an impressive five-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Timisoara. Craiova at the other side dropped to the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Ploiesti will play against Gaz Metan (#8) in Medias in the next round where they are favorite. Craiova will play on the road against U-Mobitelco (#6) in Cluj and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Oradea (11-1) which played road game in Bucuresti against 3rd ranked CSM Bucuresti (8-4). First ranked Oradea managed to get a 14-point victory 75-61. The winners were led by William Franklin who scored that evening 18 points and 5 assists. Even 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by Jevohn Shepherd did not help to save the game for CSM Bucuresti. Oradea have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Loser CSM Bucuresti dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Oradea will meet at home Rovinari (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. CSM Bucuresti will play against Pitesti (#12) and hope to secure a win.
Farul Const.'s fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after 11 consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat CS Dinamo Bucuresti (0-12) 94-63. The best player for the winners was Marian Minea who scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Farul Const. (1-11) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place, which they share with Miercurea Ciuc. It was CS Dinamo Bucuresti's twelfth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Farul Const.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked CSU Sibiu (#10) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will play against Targu Mures (#5) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
The game in Medias was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Timisoara (8-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Gaz Metan (7-5). Timisoara managed to secure a 8-point victory 77-69 on Saturday. It was a good game for Zlatko Jovanovic who led his team to a victory with 26 points. Timisoara moved-up to second place, which they share with Ploiesti. Loser Gaz Metan dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Timisoara will face Timba Timosoara (#13) in Timisoara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gaz Metan will play on the road against the league's second-placed Ploiesti (#2).

There were no big surprises in other games of round 12: Pitesti was beaten by Targu Mures on the road 78-64. Timba Timis. won against Miercurea Ciuc on its own court 79-70. CSU Sibiu managed to outperform Giurgiu in a road game 70-60.

Giurgiu - CSU Sibiu 60-70

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked CSU Sibiu and 11th ranked Giurgiu had identical 5-6 record. But Giurgiu was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Sibiu 70-60 on Saturday night. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. CSU Sibiu dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Giurgiu's 22. They outrebounded Giurgiu 39-24 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Devon Austin (198-87, college: Manhattan) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international point guard Mihail-Octavian Paul (188-82) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Kevin Sims (178-88, college: Tulane) replied with 18 points and his fellow American import forward Derek Thomas (193-84, college: Appalachian St.) added 11 points in the effort for Giurgiu. CSU Sibiu have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain tenth position with 6-6 record. Loser Giurgiu keeps the eleventh place with seven games lost. CSU Sibiu will face Farul Const. (#14) in Constanca in the next round. Giurgiu will play on the road against Miercurea Ciuc.
